‘Jerusalem is not a problem, it’s a solution’

May 22, 2017 — Israel National News reports: “Jerusalem is not the problem but rather the solution, President Reuven Rivlin said Sunday at the opening ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation and unification of Jerusalem, which was held in the Old City.

‘Sometimes I hear that they are talking about ‘the Jerusalem problem’,’ the President said. ‘Jerusalem is not a problem, Jerusalem is the solution. There are dreamers of political solutions who are trying to cut the city into parts, but anyone who talks about Jerusalem like a surgeon brings a disaster upon it and its inhabitants, and brings it back to the days of its lowliness.’

‘For many years now, they have been trying to undermine the foundations of Jerusalem, they have never stopped,’ Rivlin continued. ‘Even now, the UNESCO conference is trying to rewrite history, to say that ‘we have no connection to the city.’ To all those who denounce Jerusalem we have one answer: Jerusalem has been burned and broken and smashed and eulogized, but it rose and returned to its sons, opening its gates to thousands of believers of different faiths.’

The President went on to say, ‘A united Jerusalem is not built in words, it is built by deeds. If we tell the world that Jerusalem is one, and that Jerusalem cannot be divided, we should not divide it ourselves. Anyone who looks at Jerusalem today cannot help but see that there is still a disconnect between the western part of the city and the eastern part of the city. Sovereignty in Jerusalem means responsibility for all of Jerusalem.’…”  (Psalms 122:6 – “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.” Why? The Devil and his anti-Semitic haters will lose because Yahweh God promises “I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name (emphasis mine) Isaiah 56:5.  “For thou art an holy people unto the Lord thy God: the Lord thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the face of the earth. The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers…” Deuteronomy 7: 6 – 8.)

 Netanyahu: Jerusalem will always be Israel’s capital

May 22, 2017 — Israel National News reports: “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu stressed on Sunday that Jerusalem will always be the capital of the Jewish state.

‘Tonight, I say to the whole world and in the clearest way possible, Jerusalem was and will always be the capital of Israel,’ Netanyahu said at the opening ceremony celebrating the 50th anniversary of the liberation and unification of Jerusalem, which was held at the foot of the Tower of David in the Old City.

‘The Temple Mount and the Western Wall will always remain under Israeli sovereignty,’ he added.

‘It is not our adherence to Jerusalem that demands an explanation, but rather the disgraceful attempt to expropriate our ties to Jerusalem and our sovereignty in Jerusalem. Where were UNESCO and its ilk, when for 19 years we were deprived of our right of free access to the holy sites of our people? Why were their voices not heard when all traces of Jewish existence in eastern Jerusalem were shattered? Well, in the face of this hypocrisy, which, unfortunately, has reached delusional heights, we will continue to insist with all our strength on the truth: Jerusalem has always been the national capital of the Jewish people alone, and not of any other people,’ said Netanyahu.

‘We do not need to explain our presence in Jerusalem. We owe no apology for this. We are in Jerusalem with a right, an absolute right, and this right is only reinforced by our being the only true democratic state in the Middle East.’…”  (“…when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.  He shall build an house for my name, and I will stablish the throne of his kingdom for ever…And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever” – II Samuel 7:12, 16.  “I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,  Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations” – Psalms 89:3-4.  “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:  And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end”—Luke 1:32, 33.  Jerusalem is the Eternal Capital of Israel, and the Lord Jesus Christ will reign from David’s Throne in Jerusalem for ever and ever.)

 Abbas: We want a state alongside Israel

May 17, 2017 — Israel National News reports: “Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, who is currently visiting India, met on Tuesday with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Pranab Mukherjee, and asked them to support the two-state solution.

On Monday, in a speech at the Center for Islamic Culture in India, Abbas said the following:

‘We are striving to implement the two-state solution within the 1967 borders, that is, an independent sovereign Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital living in peace alongside the State of Israel.’

‘We hope that the Israeli Prime Minister will accept this invitation to realize peace. As I have said many times, I will reiterate my words that we are ready and reach out in order to achieve the desired peace,’ he added.

‘The solution of the Palestinian problem and the end of the occupation will greatly assist in the fight against terrorism in the region, since the implementation of justice is the basis for success in the war against terrorism carried out by terrorist groups such as ISIS and other extremist organizations operating in our region,’ claimed Abbas…”  (Caroline B. Glick, senior contributing editor to The Jerusalem Post wrote a book in 2014 entitled “The Israeli Solution” where she stated in the preface: “Establishing a Palestinian state, so the thinking goes, would be a panacea for all the region’s ills.  It would end the Arab world’s conflict with Israel, because the reason the Arab world is anti-Israel is that there is no Palestinian state.  It would also nearly erase the Arab world’s anti-Americanism, because the reason the Arabs – and the larger Muslim world – are anti-American is that the United States supports Israel even though there is no Palestinian state…  For the past ninety years, the two-state solution has been tried more than a dozen times, and every time it has failed, abysmally.  Between 1970 and 2013, the United States presented nine different peace plans for Israel and the Palestinians, all based on the two-state solution – and for the past twenty years, the two-state solution has been the centerpiece of the U.S. Middle East policy.  But despite this laser focus, American efforts to implement the two-state solution have all been dismal failures.”  See the next two reports.)

Jordan, PA, Egypt reiterate commitment to two states

May 15, 2017 — Israel National News reports: “Jordan, the Palestinian Authority (PA) and Egypt on Sunday reiterated their commitment to the ‘two-state solution’ as the only solution to the Israel-PA conflict, the Jordanian news agency Petra reports.

Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi met in Amman with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry and Saeb Erekat, the Palestine Liberation Organization’s (PLO) executive committee’s secretary general.

The three discussed future steps regarding the peace process, which is a ‘priority issue’ for the region, Safadi was quoted as having told reporters.

During a joint press conference following the meeting, in which the officials reiterated the principles they agreed on in their meeting, Safadi highlighted the commitment to achieving peace as a strategic option, as all Arab states have reaffirmed in the Arab Peace Initiative during the 28th Arab summit recently held in Jordan.

Discussions also included efforts to end the political stalemate by resuming ‘serious and effective’ negotiations to solve the conflict based on the two-state solution…”

Hamas assures critics Israel’s destruction still its goal

May 11, 2017 — The Times of Israel reports: “Hamas co-founder Mahmoud al-Zahar clarified Wednesday that his terror group’s new political program, which some interpreted as accepting the idea of a Palestinian state on the 1967 lines, would not preclude Hamas from seeking to liberate all of historic Palestine, including Israel.

‘If we liberate Palestine though the resistance until the 1967 borders, we will go directly to liberate the rest of Palestine and the territories of 1948, and there will be no negotiations,’ Zahar said at a conference in Gaza addressing international reactions to the new policy document, according to the Hamas-linked al-Resalah news site.

Zahar was likely responding to hardline critics of Hamas’s new program, such as the Palestinian Islamic Jihad terror group.

‘As partners with our Hamas brothers in the struggle for liberation, we feel concern over the document,’ Islamic Jihad’s deputy leader, Ziad al-Nakhala, said Saturday.

‘We are opposed to Hamas’s acceptance of a state within the 1967 borders and we think this is a concession which damages our aims,’ he said in a statement on Islamic Jihad’s website…”  (This headline is the reason for the failure of the two-state solution.  The enemies of Israel do not want peace.  Their goal is “…let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance” – Psalm 83:4.  Benjamin Netanyahu stated: “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more ‎violence. If the Jews put ‎down their weapons ‎today, there would be no ‎more Israel.”  He is wrong on one point, there will always be an Israel – “…I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off” – Isaiah 56:5.)
