North Korea Claims ‘Perfect’ Hydrogen Bomb Test

September 3, 2017 — Breitbart.com reports: “South Korean officials have confirmed a blast at a nuclear testing site in North Korea that the nation appears to be claiming was a test of a hydrogen bomb.

Shortly before the blast, state media published photos of dictator Kim Jong-un reportedly leading the testing.

‘Respected Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un guided the work for nuclear weaponization on the spot,’ Rodong Sinmun, North Korea’s state newspaper, reported Sunday. The newspaper claims ‘all components of the H-bomb were homemade and all the processes ranging from the production of weapons-grade nuclear materials to precision processing of components and their assembling were put on the Juche basis, thus enabling the country to produce powerful nuclear weapons as many as it wants.’…”  (North Korea marches with Russia and China for the war of the latter years and latter days – Ezekiel 38:8, 16.  Atomic bombs will produce global incineration – Psalms 97:3; Isaiah 66:15; Joel 2:3, 30; Zephaniah 1:18; Malachi 4:1; Revelation 8:7 and 9:18.)

France: North Korea could nuke US, Europe ‘within months’

September 1, 2017 — The Times of Israel reports: “France’s foreign minister warned Friday that North Korea could have the capacity to deliver a nuclear strike on the United States and even Europe ‘within months.’

Jean-Yves Le Drian called the situation following a string of missile tests by Pyongyang ‘extremely serious’ and urged the reclusive state to turn to dialogue to ease spiraling tensions.

‘We see a North Korea whose objective is to have missiles capable of transporting a nuclear weapon tomorrow,’ Le Drian told RTL radio.

‘In a few months, that will be a reality. North Korea’s missiles ‘could reach Europe sooner than expected’

September 6, 2017 — Sky News reports: “North Korea could develop missiles that can reach Europe sooner than expected, the French defence minister has warned.

Florence Parly told the French military in Toulon there are risks to the continent from intercontinental ballistic missiles being built by Kim Jong Un’s regime.

Her comments came as President Trump and Theresa May held a call to discuss North Korea, during which the Prime Minister insisted it was ‘important for the international community to send out a clear message’ to the reclusive state…”

North Korea reportedly moving ICBM towards coast

September 6, 2017 — Asia Times Online reports: “North Korea appears to be moving what appears to be an intercontinental ballistic missile towards its west coast, according to an unidentified intelligence source cited by Seoul-based Asia Business Daily.

The rocket, which was detected Monday, is reportedly being moved at night to avoid surveillance.

South Korea’s Defense Ministry couldn’t immediately confirm the Asia Business Daily report.

The unconfirmed move follows Pyongyang’s sixth nuclear test on September 3. North Korea has declared that the device was a hydrogen weapon. Western analysts are still analyzing data from the underground blast to determine if the claim is true…”

Putin warns North Korea situation on verge of ‘large-scale conflict’

September 1, 2017 — Reuters reports: “Russian President Vladimir Putin warned on Friday that the tense standoff between North Korea and the United States was on the verge of large-scale conflict and said it was a mistake to try to pressure Pyongyang over its nuclear missile program.

Putin, who is due to attend a summit of the BRICS nations in China next week, wrote in an article published on the Kremlin’s web site ahead of his trip that he favored negotiations with North Korea instead.

‘It is essential to resolve the region’s problems through direct dialogue involving all sides without advancing any preconditions (for such talks),’ Putin wrote.

‘Provocations, pressure, and bellicose and offensive rhetoric is the road to nowhere.’

As bombers drill, Russia warns U.S. against new North Korea sanctions

August 31, 2017 — The Times of Israel reports: “Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov warned US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson that potential new sanctions against North Korea would be ‘dangerous.’

Lavrov and Tillerson spoke by phone late Wednesday, several hours after US President Donald Trump said on Twitter that ‘talking is not the answer’ when it comes to dealing with North Korea.

Russia’s Foreign Ministry said in a read-out of the call late Wednesday that both Lavrov and Tillerson condemned North Korea for firing a midrange ballistic missile over Japan earlier this week and called for dialogue.

Lavrov told Tillerson that Russia urges all parties to avoid a military solution to the crisis and added that Moscow views any new potential sanctions against North Korea as ‘counterproductive and dangerous.’

On Thursday, US heavy bombers and stealth jet fighters took part in a joint live fire drill in South Korea, intended as a show of force against the North after its latest missile launch, Seoul said…”

Russia sends nuclear-capable bombers on mission near South Korea, Japan

August 24, 2017 — Reuters reports: “Russian nuclear-capable strategic bombers have flown over the Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Japan, the Yellow Sea and the East China Sea, prompting Japan and South Korea to scramble jets to escort them, Russia said on Thursday.

Russia’s Defence Ministry said in a statement the Tupolev-95MS bombers, code named ‘Bears’ by NATO, flew over neutral waters and were accompanied by Russian Sukhoi-35S fighter jets and A-50 early warning and control aircraft.

It gave no details about the overall number of aircraft that had taken part in what it called a pre-arranged flight and did not say when or why the mission took place…”
