Dunford: US Military Superiority Over Russia, China Markedly Decreasing

November 19, 2017 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “The US has been losing its military supremacy over its peer countries like Russia and China over the last 10-15 years and should step up efforts to increase its deterrence potential, Joe Dunford, Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, was cited as saying during a lecture at the Tufts University in Massachusetts earlier this week.

Russia and China have heavily invested in their capabilities to struggle against America’s traditional dominance in a range of spheres, General Dunford said, as cited in a news article published on the US Defense Department website.

‘As an example, if you take the naval alliance in Europe, Russia understands that the transatlantic link is critical for us to meet our NATO commitments,’ he added. The rivals’ ‘anti-access’ strategy is thus oriented at developing systems to limit US ability to move into the region and to operate freely on the ground to meet alliance commitments.

The areas that are in the Russian and Chinese spotlight are electronic warfare, cyber technologies, anti-space capabilities, anti-ship cruise and ballistic missiles, aimed to prevent the US from spreading its power to Europe and supporting its allies…”  (Russia is warming up for Armageddon. U.S. vows to help Europe repel Russian aggression

November 29, 2017 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “Secretary of State Rex Tillerson re-committed the United States to opposing Moscow’s ‘aggression’ against its neighbors Tuesday and vowed to help Europe wean itself off Russian oil and gas.

Next week Washington’s top diplomat will attend ministerial meetings of the NATO alliance in Brussels and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna.

At both sets of talks Russia’s intervention in Ukraine will top the agenda and US allies in Europe will be looking for reassurance that President Donald Trump’s administration has their back.

Trump came to office this year seeking warmer ties with Moscow and has sometimes called into question the value of US alliances, but relations with President Vladimir Putin’s Kremlin quickly soured.

Now, Tillerson is heading to Europe with a tough message that the Western allies stand shoulder to shoulder to oppose ‘the enemies that threaten our security and oppose our way of life.’…”

From Myanmar to Zimbabwe, China’s global footprint grows

November 27, 2017 — SpaceDaily.com reports: “China has traditionally rejected US-style interventionism, but its deepening economic involvement in volatile countries like Myanmar and Zimbabwe is thrusting Beijing towards a more assertive global role, analysts say.

China’s foreign policy has been guided by its principle of ‘non-interference in other countries’ internal affairs’, which emerged in 1954 when it was a much weaker nation.

While Beijing remains rhetorically committed to the stance, it is now a very different power, boasting the world’s largest standing army and the second biggest economy.

This change has coincided with a shift in diplomatic engagement that most recently saw Beijing take the unusual step of proposing a strategy to resolve the crisis over Muslim refugees flooding over the border from Myanmar to Bangladesh.

It has also stepped up its role in the Middle East — on which it depends for oil — after having long taken a backseat in the powder-keg region, offering to host talks on the Syrian and the Israeli-Palestinian conflicts.

China is now expected to take greater responsibility in world affairs as ‘it’s no longer the little underdog,’ said Kerry Brown, director of the Lau China Institute at King’s College London.

‘You can’t have an elephant pretending it’s a mouse.’…”  (China will become a basic partner with Russia for the rapidly approaching battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russia will lead invasion number one – Ezekiel 38 & 39. China will lead invasion number two – Revelation 16:12; Revelation 9:14 – 16. Then all nations will come against Jerusalem for the final invasion at which point Jesus will return to stop the bloodshed and set up his eternal kingdom upon earth – “[He gathers] all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken… Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south” – Zechariah 14:2 – 4. Then Psalm 2:6 occurs as God the Father says: “…I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion [Jerusalem]”.)

North Korea calls U.S. terror listing a ‘serious provocation’

November 24, 2017 — SpaceDaily.com repots: “North Korea condemned its US terror listing as a ‘serious provocation’ on Wednesday, warning that sanctions would never force it to abandon its nuclear weapons programme.

The response came shortly after China, the North’s sole ally, also rejected as ‘wrong’ new US sanctions that targeted Chinese companies doing business with the pariah state.

President Donald Trump Monday declared North Korea a state sponsor of terrorism, a spot on a US blacklist Pyongyang had shed nearly a decade ago.

On Tuesday the US unveiled its fresh sanctions which also targeted North Korean shipping, raising the pressure on the North to abandon its nuclear programme.

‘Our army and people are full of rage and anger towards the heinous gangsters who dared to put the name of our sacred country in this wretched list of ‘terrorism’,’ North Korean state news agency KCNA quoted a foreign ministry spokesperson as saying.

Slamming Washington for behaving like an ‘international judge on terrorism’, the spokesperson added that the US move was ‘clearly an absurdity and a mockery to world peace and security’…”  (II Timothy 3:1 – “This know also, that in the last days perilous [dangerous] times shall come.” Soon the kings of the East [Orient] will move into the Middle East – the second invasion of Israel after Russia’s defeat. America will be involved against North Korea as part of “Tarshish” – Ezekiel 38:16.)

McMaster: ‘Increasing’ Possibility of War with North Korea

December 3, 2017 — Voice of America News reports: “The White House national security advisor says the possibility of war with impoverished, but nuclear-armed North Korea is ‘increasing every day.’

‘There are ways to address this problem short of armed conflict,’ H.R. McMaster said Saturday, ‘but it is a race because he’s getting closer and closer and there’s not much time left,’ in a reference to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.

North Korea announced last week that it can now hit the U.S. mainland with a warhead, after its test-firing of a new intercontinental ballistic missile.

Media reports say the Pentagon is looking at U.S. west coast sites where additional defense systems can be installed, following the North Korean threat of a strike on the U.S. The Reuters news agency says the defenses would likely include Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-ballistic missiles, similar to those deployed in South Korea…” (Nuclear war is coming – “Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates.
