Dearborn man charged with supporting ISIS

July 25, 2018 — The Detroit Free Press reports: “A Dearborn man who was recently captured in Syria has been charged with supporting the Islamic State.

Federal authorities say Ibraheem Izzy Musaibli, 28, served and provided material support to the terrorist organization from April 2015 through June 2018, according to an indictment unsealed Tuesday.

Musaibli will be arraigned at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the federal courthouse in downtown Detroit.

He is believed to be one of only two American men to be captured on an Islamic State battlefield and charged in the U.S. with supporting the group…”

ISIS takes responsibility for terror attack in Toronto

July 25, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “The ISIS terrorist organization assumed responsibility to a terror attack in Toronto earlier this week that killed an 18-year-old woman and a 10-year-old girl and injured 13.

In a statement quoted by Al Arabiya, ISIS said claimed that the terrorist, 29-year-old Faisal Hussain, ‘was a soldier of the ISIS and carried out the attack in response to calls to target the citizens of the coalition countries.’

However, ISIS did not bring any evidence to back its claim…”

Berkeley High grad pleads guilty to helping ISIS, spoke of plan to kill 10,000 in Bay Area

July 20, 2018 — FoxNews.com reports: “A graduate of Berkeley High School in California, who reportedly told authorities he wanted to help ISIS kill 10,000 people in the San Francisco Bay Area, pleaded guilty to federal charges Wednesday, while his attorney claimed he was a victim of the ‘system.’

Amer Sinan Alhaggagi, 23, of Oakland, pleaded guilty to trying to provide material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization, possession of device-making equipment and identity theft, said officials of the state’s Department of Justice.

Authorities arrested Alhaggagi in November 2016 after he bought clothes online with a phony credit card, but he was held so federal authorities could continue to investigate him, the San Francisco Chronicle reported…”
