UN: 20,000-30,000 ISIS fighters remain in Iraq and Syria

August 14, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “Between 20,000 and 30,000 Islamic State (ISIS) fighters remain in Iraq and Syria despite the jihadist group’s defeat and a halt in the flow of foreigners joining its ranks, a UN report released Monday says, according to AFP.

The report by UN sanctions monitors estimates that between 3,000 and 4,000 ISIS jihadists were based in Libya while some of the key operatives in the extremist group were being relocated to Afghanistan…

“Among these is still a significant component of the many thousands of active foreign terrorist fighters,” said the report…”  (All Islamic terrorist groups have one goal, a global takeover within the next ten years.  The godless Sharia Law of Islam sparks international murder and death.  The only hope is Christ’s return to stop this horrendous hour in upcoming history.)

Islamic State ‘Well-Positioned’ to Rebuild Caliphate

August 16, 2018 — Voice of America News reports: “Destroying the Islamic State is proving more difficult than the United States and its allies envisioned, with the most recent intelligence assessments warning that the self-declared caliphate is well-positioned to rise again.

For months, U.S. and coalition officials have talked about how the combination of air power and partner forces on the ground cleared the IS terror group, also known as ISIS or Daesh, from about 98 percent of the territory it once held in Syria and Iraq.

Top U.S. Gen. Warns: Islamic State in Afghanistan ‘Harboring Intentions’ to Attack West

August 12, 2018 — Breitbart.com reports: “The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL) branch in Afghanistan has become a significant menace against the West despite the fall of the group’s caliphate in Iraq and Syria, a top American commander warned this week.

In June, Brig. Gen. Lance R. Bunch, the top U.S. air commander in Afghanistan, noted that the ISIS wing has attempted to ‘establish’ its own ‘caliphate’ twice this year alone in the eastern Afghan province of Nangarhar along the Pakistan border, considered the group’s primary stronghold in the region…”
