Putin Signs Law Allowing Him to Stay in Power Until 2036

April 7, 2021 — Breitbart.com reports: “Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a law on Monday adjusting his term limits which would allow him to potentially remain in the nation’s highest office until 2036, the Associated Press (AP) reported.

A July 1, 2020, referendum saw the Russian electorate overwhelmingly back a constitutional amendment package which included a provision allowing Putin to seek an additional two terms as president once his current term in office expires in 2024. The Putin regime claimed 78 percent of voters backed the changes while 21 percent opposed them. Vladimir Putin’s warning to western nations that threaten Russia’s security

April 22, 2021 — News.com.au reports: “As protests erupt across Russia in support of jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny, President Vladimir Putin issued a stark warning to any nations that threaten his own’s security, saying they ‘will regret their deeds’.

In his annual nationwide address, the 68-year-old told the West not to cross Russia’s ‘red lines’, saying Moscow’s response — if forced to defend its interests — would be ‘asymmetric, fast and tough’.

Some countries, Mr. Putin said during the 78-minute speech, ‘have developed a highly unseemly habit of picking on Russia for any reason, and most often for no reason at all — a kind of sport’.

Putin Threatens Full-Scale War in Ukraine as U.S. Sends Two Warships to the Black Sea

April 12, 2021 — PJMedia.com reports: “Russia now has more troops along its border with Ukraine than at any time since 2014, and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky has little hope that war can be avoided. Moscow’s demands are impossible to meet.

‘A diplomatic solution…requires a radical change in the position of the Kyiv authorities,’ said Konstantin Sivkov, a Moscow-based military analyst. ‘If the Kyiv authorities agree to the recognition of the federal structure of Ukraine, if the authorities agree to the equal status of the Russian language in Ukraine along with the Ukrainian language, then the whole problem in [Donbas] will be removed,’ he said.

The Ukrainians fear that giving Russia further opportunity to undermine the government in Kyiv will only result in the slow erosion of their independence…”

China Hints Its Military Activity near Taiwan a ‘Rehearsal’ for Invasion

‘The Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) conducted an exercise near the island of Taiwan on Monday with the largest number of warplanes ever recorded, which could be a rehearsal of a reunification-by-force operation,’ the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) mouthpiece wrote on April 13.

China’s PLA deployed 25 aircraft to fly over Taiwan, breaching its air defense identification zone (ADIZ), on April 12, Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) said in a statement…”  (China is prophesied to be a top contender and bloody warrior during the battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. ‘We will defend ourselves to the very end’: Taiwan minister’s vow as China ‘prepares final assault’

April 30, 2021 — Sky News reports: “China is ‘preparing for its final military assault’ on Taiwan, the island’s foreign minister has told Sky News, as he vowed to ‘defend ourselves to the very end’.

In an exclusive interview, Joseph Wu said that China had ‘been conducting misinformation campaigns, hybrid warfare, and recently they have increased their grey zone activities against Taiwan’.

‘And all these seem to be preparing for their final military assault against Taiwan,’ he added.

‘This is our country, this is our people and this is our way of life. We will defend ourselves to the very end…”

Philippines says Chinese ships ‘swarming’ area around disputed Spratly Islands

April 1, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “A fleet of Chinese ships that sparked a diplomatic row after parking at a reef off the Philippines for weeks are now scattered across the contested Spratly Islands, a government agency said Wednesday, condemning Beijing’s ‘unlawful presence’ in the area.

Over two hundred ships were first spotted on March 7 at Whitsun Reef, around 320 kilometres (175 nautical miles) west of Palawan Island in the South China Sea.

Manila ordered Beijing to withdraw the ships, calling their presence an incursion into its sovereign territory.

China — which claims almost the entirety of the resource-rich sea — has claimed the vessels are fishing ships sheltering from bad weather.

But Manila insists they are from Beijing’s Maritime Militia, frequently accused of conducting covert military operations in the area…”

US warns China over Philippines, Taiwan moves; Holds bilateral exercises with Malaysia

April 8, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The United States on Wednesday warned China against what the Philippines and Taiwan see as increasingly aggressive moves, reminding Beijing of Washington’s obligations to its partners.

‘An armed attack against the Philippines’ armed forces, public vessels or aircraft in the Pacific, including in the South China Sea, will trigger our obligations under the US-Philippines Mutual Defense Treaty,’ State Department spokesman Ned Price told reporters.

‘We share the concerns of our Philippine allies regarding the continued reported massing of PRC maritime militia near the Whitsun Reef,’ Price said, referring to the People’s Republic of China.

More than 200 Chinese boats were first spotted on March 7 at Whitsun Reef, around 320 kilometers (200 miles) west of Palawan Island in the contested South China Sea, although many have since scattered across the Spratly Islands…”
