Putin warns of ‘lethal’ strikes at Russian warship parade
July 26, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “President Vladimir Putin said Sunday that Russia’s navy was capable of delivering lethal strikes against underwater and aerial enemy targets during a parade of warships in the port city of Saint Petersburg.
The Russian leader’s boast comes days after military officials announced tests of advanced new weapons, some of which come from an arsenal Putin has described as ‘invincible.’
‘The Russian navy today has everything it needs to guarantee the protection of our country and our national interests,’ he said.
‘We can detect underwater, surface or aerial enemies and target them if a lethal strike is necessary,’ Putin said according to a broadcast on state television…” (Russia preparing to fulfill Ezekiel 38:1, 2, 8, 16; Joel 2:3, 20, 30 for the Armageddon campaign – Revelation 16:16 – which will be fought against America, the EU and the entire Western World. With cutting-edge hypersonics, Russia leads in new arms race
July 26, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The Avangard, the Kinzhal and now the Zircon — Russia is leading the race to develop a range of new hypersonic weapons that President Vladimir Putin has dubbed ‘invincible’.
Moscow’s latest step came this week with another successful test of the Zircon, a ship-launched hypersonic missile.
Fired from one of Russia’s most powerful warships, the Admiral Gorshkov frigate, a Zircon travelling at seven times the speed of sound flew more than 350 kilometres (over 215 miles) to hit a target on the coast of the Barents Sea.
If more tests are successful, the Zircon looks set to join Avangard hypersonic glide vehicles and the air-launched Kinzhal (Dagger) missiles in Russia’s arsenal of hypersonic weapons.
Hypersonics are able to travel at velocities of at least five times the speed of sound and manoeuvre in mid-flight, making them much harder to track and intercept than traditional projectiles.
And experts agree that — for now at least — Russia has an edge in their development…”
Russia unveils stealth fighter jet to compete with F-35s
July 21, 2021 –– SpaceDaily.com reports: “Russia on Tuesday unveiled its new Sukhoi stealth fighter jet designed to compete with the US F-35 and capable of striking six targets simultaneously.
Dubbed ‘The Checkmate’, the plane was first shown to a reportedly ‘pleased’ President Vladimir Putin before the launch at a biennial airshow outside Moscow.
Reports first surfaced that the jet was being manufactured in May last year.
According to the launch video it was developed ‘in record time’.
Few details had previously emerged about the plane that was developed by defence and technology giant Rostec and the state-controlled United Aircraft Corporation…”
S-500 Prometheus: ‘Killer of F-35’ Has Undergone Combat Missile Trials and is Coming Soon
July 14, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The new generation S-500 Prometheus air defence system developed by the Russian arms company Almaz-Antey, the same group that produced the S-300 and S-400, has successfully completed a series of tests including combat missile launches, according to the Commander of the Missile Defence Troops of the Russian Air Force, Maj. Gen. Sergei Babakov.
Speaking to the Russian news outlet Krasnaya Zvezda last week, Major General Babakov elaborated that the S-500 has been developed as a completely new generation of anti-aircraft systems aimed at taking down medium-range ballistic missiles, and, if necessary, intercontinental ballistic missiles in the final stage of their flight path. In addition to this, the S-500 is capable of destroying hypersonic aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles, according to him.
‘The S-500 air defence system is capable of destroying hypersonic weapons of all modifications, including in near space, in addition to aerodynamic and ballistic targets, which makes it possible to say with confidence that this system is unique’, Maj. Gen. Babakov said.
Russia’s new defence weapon can reportedly engage enemy ballistic missiles at a range of up to 600 kilometres and aircraft at about 500 kilometres…”
Russian general: We intercepted multiple IDF strikes on Syria
July 30, 2021 — YnetNews.com reports: “A senior Moscow official claimed Sunday that Russian air defenses had intercepted at least three Israeli airstrikes in Syria over the past week.
General Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria, told the Russian news agency TASS that two Israeli fighter jets were intercepted while attacking targets near Damascus early Sunday.
‘From 05:40am to 05:54am, two F-16 tactical fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force, which stayed outside Syria’s airspace, delivered a strike, from the southwestern direction, with two guided missiles at facilities in the settlement of Seidat Zeinab in the Damascus governorate,’ he told TASS, adding that both missiles were downed by the Russian-made Buk-M2E systems of the Syria air defense units.
Contrary to previous strikes attributed to Israel, Syrian authorities did not report the attack.
However, the UK-based war monitor Syrian Observatory for Human Rights did report that strong blasts were heard and smoke was seen south of Damascus. The watchdog did not attribute the explosions to Israel…” (Russia is warming up for Armageddon. Soon a peace program will be contracted for the Middle East nations – Daniel 11: 21, 24. It will be a peace contract for seven years but broken after 42 months – Daniel 9:27. Report: Russia intends to arm Syria against Israeli strikes
July 27, 2021 — YnetNews.com reports: “Russia intends to curtail Israel’s military operations in Syria by supplying the regime of President Bashar al-Assad with stronger air defenses, a report claimed on Saturday.
The anonymously sourced report by the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat cited a ‘well-informed’ Russian official as saying that the Kremlin has ‘run out of patience’ with Israeli air raids in Syria.
Moreover, Moscow believes this move wouldn’t encounter stiff opposition from the administration of President Joe Biden, as Russian officials have been given the impression that Washington doesn’t approve of Israeli strikes either.
Since the Syrian civil war broke out in 2011, Israel has routinely carried out raids in Syria, mostly targeting government positions and allied Iranian and Lebanese Hezbollah forces and weapons convoys.
Israel rarely confirms strikes in Syria, however, the IDF has said it hit about 50 targets in the war-ravaged country last year, without providing details…”
Russia says its air defense systems in Syria intercepted Israeli missiles
July 26, 2021 — The Times of Israel reports: “Russian anti-aircraft artillery systems in Syria intercepted a number of missiles launched by Israel in airstrikes this week in an area southeast of Aleppo, according to a Russian military official.
The strikes were reported to have killed senior Hezbollah and Iranian fighters.
Vadim Kulit, deputy chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Parties in Syria, told the Russian news agency TASS on Tuesday that Israeli fighter jets fired eight guided missiles on Monday, seven of which were intercepted by Russia’s Pantsyr-S and Buk-M2 systems, both self-propelled, medium-range surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft systems…”
Putin Says Time Will Come When He Names Possible Successor
July 1, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “President Vladimir Putin told Russians on Wednesday that the time would come when he would name his possible successor in the Kremlin, but he said the choice would ultimately lie with voters.
Putin, 68, has been in power as president or prime minister since the turn of the century. His current six-year term in the Kremlin is due to end in 2024, and his remarks are being closely parsed for clues as to whether he plans to extend his rule.
Russia changed its constitution last year at Putin’s behest allowing him to run for two more six-year terms in the Kremlin, and potentially remain president until 2036…” (Vladimir Putin has been in power as either the Prime Minister or President of Russia since 1999.
