Chinese Government Is Rewriting the Bible with Communist Principles, Watchdog Group Warns
February 21, 2022 — ChristianHeadlines.com reports: “A spokesperson for the Christian persecution watchdog group The Voice of the Martyrs (VOM) warned that the Chinese government is currently attempting to rewrite the Word of God in accordance with communist values.
‘This is a project that the Chinese Communist Party announced in 2019. At the time, they said it would be about a 10-year process … to release a new translation of the Bible,’ VOM spokesman Todd Nettleton told Faithwire in a recent interview.
He noted that the reimagined Scriptures would include a variety of principles, including Confucianism and Buddhism.
‘This new translation … would really support the Communist Party,’ Nettleton added.
In a recent post on Facebook, VOM pointed out that the CPP’s revisions of the Bible will include ‘’core socialist values’ and the removal of passages that ‘do not reflect communist beliefs.’
One example of the changes was revealed in a high school textbook released in September 2020. In the textbook, the CCP changed several verses in John 8, VOM said in a social media post. As the biblical story goes, Jesus forgives an adulterous woman despite the Pharisees’ calls to stone her to death under Mosaic law.
The CCP’s translation, however, alters the story where Christ ends up stoning the woman, as He admitted, ‘’I am also a sinner.’‘…” (In the chapter mentioned, Jesus stated: Which of you convinceth [convicts] me of sin? – John 8:47. Apparently, the CCP believes they can. The Bible clearly states that Jesus never sinned: For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin – Hebrews 4:15; But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? – Hebrews 9:11-14; Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: – I Peter 1:18,19; And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin – I John 3:5’; All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth. He was taken from prison and from judgment: and who shall declare his generation? for he was cut off out of the land of the living: for the transgression of my people was he stricken. And he made his grave with the wicked, and with the rich in his death; because he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth. Yet it pleased the Lord to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in his hand. He shall see of the travail of his soul, and shall be satisfied: by his knowledge shall my righteous servant justify many; for he shall bear their iniquities – Isaiah 53:6-11; And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him – I Corinthians 5:18-21.)
Now cemetery crosses are condemned for upsetting those of ‘other religions’
January 31, 2022 — WND.com reports: “A fight has erupted in Switzerland after complaints surfaced from those of ‘other religious’ that they were offended by Christian cross and other symbols of faith at a historic cemetery.
The issue was ridiculed by Robert Spencer of JihadWatch, who pointed out, ‘People of ‘other religions’ have been in Switzerland since time immemorial, with no problem. There has, however, recently been an influx of people who believe that the cross is an insult to the power of Allah (cf. Quran 4:171). Many of these people are intransigent to the point of violence. Are Swiss authorities trying to appease them?’
He explained the report of the conflict arrived via the Die Weltwoche publication…” (If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for my name’s sake, because they know not him that sent me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloak for their sin. He that hateth me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause. But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning – John 15:18-27.)
