Move over Jesus: Muhammad the new ‘savior of humanity’

WND.com reports: “At this turbulent time in history when many people are looking for answers to their problems, a brand-new TV campaign calling the Islamic prophet Muhammad the ‘savior of humanity’ is about to saturate the airwaves of Australia.

‘Tens of thousands’ of dollars have reportedly been raised by the Muslim community to fund a series of 30-second commercials to begin airing on the country’s biggest networks starting July 9.

The ads are produced by My Peace, an Australian group looking to build bridges between the Muslim community and other citizens of the land Down Under.

The prime-time spots will air over the course of several months, and feature famous historical figures such as Mahatma Gandhi and George Bernard Shaw praising the virtues of Muhammad.

‘This is a response to misinformation. Not many (Australians) are aware of who the prophet is and why we regard him so highly and so emotionally,’ My Peace founder Diaa Mohamed told the Sydney Daily Telegraph.

‘The commercials will be animated with voiceovers and will have quotes on the screen.

‘Muhammad is the most influential man in history and the commercials will show what scholars and historians have said about him.’

Gandhi said the prophet ‘holds undisputed sway over the hearts of millions’ and Shaw called him the ‘savior of humanity.’…” (Four hundred times the Word of God states that Jesus is the Savior of the world. I John 4:14, 15 states: “And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world. Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.” Jesus said in John 5:43: “I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.” II Peter 2:1 – 3 states: “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not.” God awaken the sleeping, unconcerned ministers of America and Australia to warn their nations.)

Girl Scouts of Britain Replace ‘God’ with ‘Myself’ in Oath

Breitbart.com reports: “On Wednesday [June 19, 2013], Great Britain’s Girl Guides (their equivalent of U.S. Girl Scouts) and Brownies removed God from their 103-year-old oath.

Instead of the passage where they used to promise to ‘love God,’ they will now vow to be true to ‘myself’ and develop ‘my beliefs.’ The organization said the move is intended to attract girls from secular families.

Andrea Minichiello Williams, CEO of Christian Concern, condemned the move, saying, ‘These values have their roots in a Christian outlook. Taking ‘God’ out of the promise denies the history and foundations of the movement without offering anything in its place, with the result that the organization will lose its distinctive ethos and end up meaning nothing.’…

The Girl Guides in Australia also deleted God from the vow last year. The Boy Scouts in Great Britain are considering a similar move next month.

Atheists Want Their Own Military Chaplains

Breitbart.com reports: “For weeks now Breitbart News has reported on religious liberty in the military, both the freedom of service members to share their faith and also the plight of military chaplains being censored on what they can say in religious counseling.

Now atheists are demanding their own chaplains.

Rep. Robert Andrews (D-NJ) will be introducing an amendment in Congress to create atheist chaplains in the Armed Forces. The duties of a chaplain are to offer (1) prayer, (2) spiritual counseling, and (3) religious instruction.

No one has yet offered an explanation of how an atheist chaplain is anything other than an oxymoron, since by definition an atheist (1) believes there is no divine being to hear prayer, (2) has no spirituality, and (3) no religious beliefs…” (Psalm 14:1-3 states: “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none [atheists] that doeth good. The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”)

Syrian Jihadists Publicly Behead Catholic Priest

Israel National News reports: “A Catholic priest has been publicly beheaded by Syrian terrorists after he was accused of collaborating with President Bashar Al-Assad’s regime.

Franciscan Father Francois Murad was executed along with two other people in the countryside of Idlib in northern Syria, the New York Daily News reported. The brutal beheading was filmed and posted to the Internet.

The Vatican confirmed Murad’s death, but the circumstances surrounding the 49-year-old priest’s death are not entirely known, reported the Daily News.

Spectators recorded the killings that included two others with their smartphones and cameras before uploading it online…” (Islam commands that all infidels should be killed and primarily by beheading – Sura 47:5. Revelation 20:4 predicts such an hour is coming during the seven year period of tribulation. I believe Christians who are true believers will be evacuated (Raptured) before the horrendous hour occurs. Syrian rebels to Christians: Flee or die!

WND.com reports: “A new report from a ministry worker who visited a remnant of Syria’s Christian community confirms the worst: Rebels battling President Bashar al-Assad for control are imposing Islamic law, giving Christians the choice to flee or die.

The report is from the Religious Freedom Coalition, the faith-based organization run by William J. Murray, author of ‘My Life Without God.’

Murray explained that the report on persecution of Christians in Syria by jihadists was by Martin Janssen, who visited Amman, Jordan, for a prayer walk held for two Syrian church leaders kidnapped by Syrian rebels, Greek Orthodox Archbishop Paul Yazigi and Syriac Orthodox Archbishop Yohanna Ibrahim.

The report, in Dutch, was translated by Mark Durie, an Anglican vicar in Melbourne, Australia, and an associate fellow at the Middle Eastern Forum.

After the prayer walk, Syrian Christian refugees told Janssen they had been attacked by the rebels fighting in Syria, where Christians had been allowed to worship and live under Assad’s regime…”

Coptic priest shot dead in latest Egypt violence

The Jerusalem Post reports: “Gunmen shot dead a Coptic Christian priest in Egypt’s lawless Northern Sinai on Saturday [July 6, 2013] in what could be the first sectarian attack since the military overthrow of Islamist President Mohamed Morsi, security sources said.

At least 30 people died and more than 1,000 were wounded after Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood movement called “Friday of Rejection” protests across the country and tried to march on the military compound where the ousted president is held.

The priest, Mina Aboud Sharween, was attacked in the early afternoon while walking in the Masaeed area in El Arish.

The shooting in the coastal city of El Arish was one of several attacks believed to be by Islamist insurgents that included firing at four military checkpoints in the region, the sources said.

Saturday’s attacks on checkpoints took place in al-Mahajer and al-Safaa in Rafah, as well as Sheikh Zuwaid and al-Kharouba.

Morsi’s Muslim Brotherhood has fiercely criticized Coptic Pope Tawadros, spiritual leader of Egypt’s 8 million Christians, for giving his blessing to the removal of the president and attending the announcement by armed forces commander General Abdel Fattah al-Sisi suspending the constitution…”

Fears for Egypt’s Christians following Murder, Arson Attacks

Israel National News reports: “Fears have been raised over the plight of Egypt’s Coptic Christian community, after a series of attacks – including the assassination of a priest and an arson attack against a church – following the ouster of Muslim Brotherhood-backed President, Mohammed Morsi.

According to Al Masri al-Youm, 39 year-old Mena Aboud Sharoben was gunned down in the coastal city of Arish on Saturday [July 6, 2013] , by unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle. Sharoben was a local Coptic priest, and his murder was one of several attacks by suspected Islamist terrorists over the past few days, who also targeted at least three military checkpoints and El Arish Internation Airport in one of Egypt’s most lawless regions.

Those attacks prompted a senior Egyptian military official to announce an impending major military operation in the Sinai Desert, aimed at rooting-out Islamist insurgents, who have also targeted oil-pipelines and police installations.

The report by Al Masri al-Youm further cited the Maspero Youth Union as condemning what they described as ‘Muslim Brotherhood attacks on churches.’

According to the statement, ‘The president’s supporters attacked [the] churches in Luxor, Qena, Minya, Towa, Sharm el-Sheikh and Marsa Matrouh. We say to them, tear down all the churches, it is not going to stop us from rebuilding Egypt… We will use the stones of our churches to build our homeland.’

On Friday [July 5, 2013], four Copts and one Muslim were killed in sectarian clashes in the village of Naga Hassan, during which 23 Christian-owned homes were set on fire, according to Egypt Independent – though in that case it was unclear whether the clashes were the result of a sectarian or personal dispute…”

Now it’s Buddhists behaving badly

WND.com reports: “Buddhist clerics in Sri Lanka reportedly have launched a terror rampage against Christians that has included attacks ranging from verbal threats to beatings and church burnings.

And Christians say Sri Lankan authorities have done little or nothing to protect them.

Barnabas Aid USA Executive Director Julian Dobbs says the attacks have prompted fear among Sri Lanka’s Christian minority.

‘The Christians in Sri Lanka are under considerable threat and quite naturally with this many attacks there is considerable concern for safety among the Christians,’ Dobbs said.

Dobbs says the threats are wide ranging.

‘The monks have threatened the communities; they’ve threatened to kill church leaders if they don’t shut down the churches,’ Dobbs said.

Dobbs adds that since Christians make up only seven percent of the population, the Christians, both Anglican and Catholic, are keeping a low profile.

‘The threats aren’t directed specifically at Anglicans or Catholics, or the evangelicals. The threats are being made against the Christian community as a whole,’ Dobbs said…”
