UK Islamists Rally for Shariah Britain

March 18, 2014 — Breitbart.com reports: “Convicted terrorists, extremist preachers and dozens of other Islamist activists rallied in East London on Saturday, in a sure sign that the newly founded ‘Need4Khilafah’ group is becoming increasingly emboldened in its anti-Western agitation efforts in the UK.

A video released by the group …shows their rally, led by Islamist preacher Abu Izzadeen, in Green Street in East London. Breitbart London reported yesterday that the group clashed with former BNP members from the ‘Britain First’ organisation.

But Need4Khilafah’s video brings new information about the rally to light. The footage features notorious hate preacher Anjem Choudary, who smiles smugly as Izzadeen whips up the crowd into an anti-Western frenzy. Abdul Muhid, another convicted terrorist, also features heavily.

Izzadeen, who was released from prison in 2009, can be heard exclaiming, ‘Let us be clear as a community, we are a unique part of this society. We are not going to integrate and lose our identity.

‘As Muslims… we are obliged to call those kuffar [non-believers] towards Islam…” (A great Christian nation is beginning to fall into apostasy. Its Christian ministers have failed to warn the people about Islamic murderers who slaughter Christians.

British Courts to Adopt Sharia Law

March 23, 2014 — Israel National News reports: “Islamic law is to be effectively enshrined in the British legal system for the first time under guidelines for solicitors on drawing up ‘Sharia compliant’ wills, reports the Telegraph.

The ‘ground-breaking guidance’ by The Law Society will allow solicitors able to write Islamic wills that deny women an equal share of inheritances and exclude non-Muslims altogether.

The documents, which would be recognized by Britain’s courts, will also bar children born out of wedlock – and even those who have been adopted – from being counted as legitimate heirs.
Anyone married in a church, or in a civil ceremony, could be excluded from inheritance under Sharia principles, which recognize only Muslim weddings for inheritance purposes.

Nicholas Fluck, president of The Law Society, told the Telegraph the guidelines would promote ‘good practice’ in applying Islamic principles in the British legal system.

Some lawyers, however, described the instructions as ‘astonishing’, and Baroness Cox, who leads a Parliamentary campaign to protect women from religiously sanctioned discrimination, said it was a ‘deeply disturbing’ development and pledged to raise the matter with ministers.
‘This violates everything that we stand for,’ she said. ‘It would make the Suffragettes turn in their graves.’…”

Muslims Complain, U.S. Network Cancels Controversial Pilot

March 25, 2014 — Israel National News reports: “The U.S.-based television network ABC Family has cancelled a pilot for a new series, Alice in Arabia, after an outcry from a local Muslim group.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the recently ordered pilot came under fire from the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), after a script for the show was leaked, revealing it revolves around ‘an American teenage girl kidnapped by her extended royal Saudi Arabian family and forced to live with them.’

CAIR said it had asked ABC Family to meet with leaders in the Muslim community to discuss ‘concerns about potential stereotyping in the pilot,’ and the network said it had nixed the pilot.

‘The current conversation surrounding our pilot was not what we had envisioned and is certainly not conducive to the creative process, so we’ve decided not to move forward with this project,’ an ABC Family spokesperson said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

When the pilot order was announced, Alice in Arabia was described as a high-stakes drama about an American girl who – after tragedy befell her parents – was unknowingly kidnapped by members of her extended family, who are Saudi Arabian.

The character was to be a virtual prisoner in her grandfather’s royal compound, but would find herself intrigued by her new surroundings and its people, who were to have surprisingly diverse views on the world and her situation. Alice would need to depend on her independent spirit and wit to find her way back home and survive life behind the veil.

The pilot was written by Brooke Eikmeier, a U.S. Army veteran who worked as a cryptologic linguist in the Arabic language, trained to support NSA missions in the Middle East, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Gaza: New Hamas Law Mandates Lashes, Amputations

March 31, 2014 — Israel National News reports: “Hamas, the terrorist group governing Gaza, has replaced a nearly 80-year-old law with a harsh new one based on Sharia Islamic law. The new rules stipulate severe punishments such as lashes and amputations.

Faraj Al Ghoul, Legal Department head of Gaza’s Palestinian Legislative Council, announced the Gazan parliament will put the new law into effect, replacing Ordinance Number 74 that has been on the books since 1936. The ordinance, which was part of the British Mandate Criminal Code, outlawed same-sex acts between men.

A senior Hamas official told United Arab Emirates-based Gulf News that the old law needed replacing for being ‘impractical,’ adding that the new law, ‘which is inspired by’ Sharia, was drafted to stem the spread of crime.

Under the new law, minor offenses bear a minimum of 20 lashes, while criminal cases require a minimum of 80 lashes. Usage of the death penalty is also expanded under the new Sharia-compliant law, which includes two articles that order a thief’s hand to be cut off, and that repeat offenders serve at least seven years in jail…”
