PM to push Basic Law that will define Israel as ‘Jewish state’
May 1, 2014 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu announced on Thursday that he will push forward foundational legislation of Israel as the nation state of the Jewish people.
Speaking in Tel Aviv’s Independence Hall, where David Ben-Gurion declared the country’s independence some 66 years ago, Netanyahu said the Declaration of Independence placed the Jewish identity of the state as one of the foundations of the life of the country.
‘Unfortunately,’ he said, ‘there are those who do not recognize this natural right. They seek to shake the historic, more and legal justification of Israel as the national home of our people.’
Netanyahu, whose comments come five days before Independence Day, said that one of his primary aims as prime minister is to fortify the status of Israel as ‘the national homeland of our people.’ A Knesset basic law on this matter, he said, would provide it with an important legal anchor.
‘The State of Israel will always preserve full personal and civil equality for all citizens of the State of Israel, Jews and non-Jews alike, in a Jewish-democratic state,’ he said. .’
Just days after US Secretary of State warned that if a two-state solution was not achieved, Israel could become an apartheid state, Netanyahu said that in Israel personal and civil equality is ensured for all, something that distinguishes it in the region, and also beyond…” (God’s Holy Word states 830 times that Jerusalem belongs to the Jews and it’s where Israel’s Messiah and Christianity’s “King of Kings” will reign forever. “He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end” – Luke 1:32, 33. The next two headlines will fail as Yahweh God comes against the enemies of His Chosen people – “The Lord did not set his love upon you, nor choose you, because ye were more in number than any people; for ye were the fewest of all people: But because the Lord loved you” – Deuteronomy 7:7, 8.)
Mashaal: Hamas remains committed to jihad against Israel
May 1, 2014 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Hamas is committed to holy war against Israel, its leader Khaled Mashaal affirmed on Wednesday, one week after it signed a reconciliation pact with Fatah.
‘Our path is resistance and the rifle, and our choice is jihad,’ he said, in his first public comments since the deal with Fatah was announced.
Mashaal spoke by phone to hundreds of Palestinians who attended the funeral of Hamas terrorists Adel and Imad Awadallah.
Israel handed the bodies of the two brothers to the Palestinian Authority more than 16 years after IDF soldiers killed them outside Hebron.
Mashaal said that in wake of the failure of the peace talks with Israel, the Palestinians were in need of a unified political decision and a joint strategy that would lead to the ‘liberation of our lands and holy sites and the return of the Palestinian refugees to their homes.’…”
Islamic Jihad Seeks to Join Hamas-Fatah Pact
May 1, 2014 — Israel National News reports: “Despite last week predicting its failure, the Islamic Jihad terrorist group is trying to join in on the Hamas-Fatah reconciliation agreement.
Sources in the group told the Ma’an news agency that three senior leaders of the group traveled from Gaza to Egypt via the Rafiah crossing on Wednesday.
According to the sources, Muhammad al-Hindi, Nafith Azzama, and Khaled al-Batsh traveled through Egypt to convene with other faction leaders for meetings on the recent reconciliation deal.
The leaders will consider the ways Islamic Jihad could be involved in the unity government, which is due to be set into place within four weeks, the sources told Ma’an.
It is the first time the leaders have been allowed into Egypt since the military ouster of Muslim Brotherhood president Mohammed Morsi in July, the news agency noted…”
Palestinian Authority Flags Replace Israeli Flags in Tel Aviv
April 21, 2014 — Israel National News reports: “Israeli flags were replaced by Palestinian Authority (PA) flags on Friday morning at the Yafo (Jaffa) Port, located at the southern end of Tel Aviv.
Walla! reported the flags had been waving at the site for several hours, and that despite a number of requests to Tel Aviv police, officers or Municipality workers had not rushed to take them down.
The flags were put up after Israeli flags at the site were removed; the whereabouts of those flags and the perpetrators of the switch remain unknown.
Yafo is home to large numbers of Arab citizens of Israel; in 2011 over 1,000 local Arabs, mostly residents of the Israeli city, protested Israel’s existence on ‘Nakba (catastrophe) Day.’
The placement of the flags implies with it a claim of PA rule over the region, which is clearly not over the 1949 Armistice lines being used as a basis of peace talks in opposition to the original intent of the ceasefire lines…” (What brash and foolish games these perpetrators play. They’ll soon know whose side the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob favors. God is identified by this title 32 times. Never by Abraham, Isaac, and Ishmael — Islam’s son from Hagar.)
Hezbollah, Al Qaeda and Hamas Flags in Jerusalem
May 2, 2014 — Israel National News reports: “During an Arab wedding procession in Jerusalem’s Old City on Thursday night, the Jewish state’s 3,000-year-old capital bore witness to a multitude of terrorist organization flags.
Participants in the wedding, who received permission from the police to hold the procession in the Old City, waved the flags of terror groups including Hezbollah, Al Qaeda, and Hamas, alongside the flag of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO).
As they marched with the flags, the Arab revelers chanted slogans insulting Israel and Judaism, such as ‘even with the rifle, the (‘Palestinian’) nation will live and will not die,’ and ‘we will write on the pistol: Al-Aqsa (Jerusalem) is holy to us.’…” (Never in a million years will this happen. Islam’s goal is “…let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance” – Psalm 83:4. God’s goal is “…I will give them [Israel] an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off” – Isaiah 56:5.)
