IDF Spokesman Hagari: ‘We abort attacks when we see unexpected civilian presence’
December 18, 2023 — Israel National News reports: “IDF Spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari released a statement in English on Monday regarding civilian casualties in the war in Gaza.
‘Hamas sees civilian death as a strategy, we see it as a tragedy — which is why we use many measures to try and minimize the civilian harm and suffering — that is the tragic reality — in this war that Hamas started,’ Hagari stated.
‘We warn civilians before attacks, whenever possible. We also recommend civilians to temporarily move away from areas of intense fighting,’ the spokesman added.
Hagari explained: ‘We abort attacks when we see unexpected civilian presence. We choose the right munition for each target — so it doesn’t cause unnecessary damage.’…” (Benjamin Netanyahu has stated: “If the Arabs put down their weapons today, there would be no more violence. If the Jews put down their weapons today, there would be no more Israel.”
Israel does all that it can to protect civilians – Hamas uses civilians to protect their missiles; placing them next to schools and in residential neighborhoods. See the next four reports.)
Israel Responds to Biden: IDF ‘Making Efforts That No Army in History Has Made … to Protect Civilians’
December 14, 2023 — Breitbart.com reports: “Israel responded Wednesday to President Joe Biden’s claim Tuesday that Israel was engaged in ‘indiscriminate bombing’ of Gaza, saying it was taking extraordinary measures to protect Palestinian civilians, even as Hamas used them as human shields.
Biden made the accusation, without evidence, at a private fundraiser with donors in Washington, DC, on Tuesday. He also claimed that Israel is losing support around the world, and that the Israeli government has to eject right-wing political parties.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is ‘making efforts that no army in history has made in order to protect civilians’ in a counter-terrorism operation in urban areas, said Eylon Levy, an Israeli government spokesman, at a press conference on Wednesday…”
White House spokesperson: Israel is protecting civilians in ways even we wouldn’t
December 14, 2023 — Israel National News reports: “White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby on Wednesday highlighted some of the steps the IDF has taken to prevent civilian casualties in Gaza, noting that some of Israel’s steps might go further than what the US would do.
‘They moved into southern Gaza on the ground in a way that was much smaller than they planned to do,’ he told reporters. ‘We think that was an output of some of the advice and counsel we provided them about urban warfare.’
A reporter suggested that Kirby was giving the Israelis more of a benefit of the doubt than President Joe Biden, who on Tuesday, during a conversation with donors, characterized Israel’s bombing against Hamas in Gaza as ‘indiscriminate’.
‘They have published online maps of places where people can go or not go. That’s basically telegraphing your punches! There’s very few modern militaries in the world that would do that! I don’t know that we would do that!’ replied Kirby…”

The terror munitions were discovered by the 50th battalion of the 460th brigade. The IDF said that some of the munitions were detonated on site while others were sent for further investigation…”
IDF: Hamas continues using civilian areas for military activities
December 5, 2023 — Israel National News reports: “The IDF has located additional military infrastructure of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Al-Shati area of the northern Gaza Strip, a spokesman said Tuesday afternoon.
‘Hamas uses civilian infrastructure such as schools and civilian buildings to launch rockets, store weapons and carry out attacks against the IDF,’ the spokesman said. ‘This is just one example of the broader operational method used by Hamas in Al-Shati and other areas.’
‘It reflects Hamas’ combat tactics throughout the entire strip – using civilian buildings and infrastructure for terrorist purposes.
‘Hamas continues to endanger the lives and safety of Gazan civilians.’…”
