Report: Iran’s Supreme Leader ordered preparations for attack on Israel
Israel National News reports: “The New York Times, citing three Iranian officials familiar with the war planning, reported on Thursday that Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has instructed the Supreme National Security Council on Monday to prepare for an attack on Israel.
The officials said that Khamenei decided to attack after he reviewed a detailed report from senior military commanders on the extent of damage to Iran’s missile production capabilities and air defense systems around Tehran, critical energy infrastructure, and a main port in the south.
Axios, citing two Israeli sources, reported that Israeli intelligence is estimating that Iran will strike Israel from Iraqi territory, possibly before Tuesday’s US Election.
According to the report, Iran may launch a large number of drones and ballistic missiles from Iraqi territory.
The report quoted an American source saying that Iran could quickly put its preparations into action if Tehran decides to strike soon, but the US doesn’t know if that decision has been made…”
