Pastor imprisoned in Iran faces death for ‘spreading corruption on Earth’
September 5, 2014 — FoxNews.com reports: “An Iranian Christian pastor already imprisoned for his faith now faces the death penalty after being hit with a bizarre new charge called ‘spreading corruption on Earth.’
Supporters fear the worst for Pastor Behnam Irani, who was sentenced to six years in prison in 2011 for his Christian activities, including leading a 300-member evangelical congregation in Karaj, a city less than 15 miles outside the capital, Tehran. He is now being held in solitary confinement and suffering numerous health problems, including internal bleeding, according to advocacy group Christian Solidarity Worldwide.
CSW Chief Executive Mervyn Thomas old the website BosNewsLife.com that his group is ‘deeply concerned by the new charges against Pastor Irani’ especially the charge of spreading corruption on Earth.’
‘The charges leveled against Pastor Irani and other Christians are tantamount to an indictment of Christianity itself and mark a renewed escalation in Iran’s campaign against Persian Christians under the Rouhani presidency,’ Thomas said in a statement…”
5-year-old Christian boy cut in half by ISIS
August 13, 2014 — WND.com reports: The images of atrocities by Muslim fighters in Iraq – and Syria – against their soldier and civilian enemies have been have circulating for some time already. There have been reports, many documented in images and even videos, of ISIS crucifixions, executions, mass burials and worse.
But now Americans collectively are being left gasping by a flood of new reports and photographs depicting such horrors being inflicted on children.
One such report came recently from the Anglican Communion News Service, which said the son, age 5, of a founder of Baghdad’s Anglican church was ‘cut in half during an attack by the Islamic State,’ a name by which ISIS also is known.
‘An emotional Canon Andrew White told ACNS that he christened the boy several years ago, and that the child’s parents had named the lad Andrew after him,’ the report said.
‘I’m almost in tears because I’ve just had somebody in my room whose little child was cut in half,’ he said. ‘I baptized his child in my church in Baghdad. This little boy, they named him after me – he was called Andrew,’ White told the agency.
The report said it happened in the Christian village of Qaraqosh after Kurdish forces left and ISIS Muslims arrived…”
Obama silent on crisis threatening 200,000
September 3, 2014 — WND.com reports: “A looming humanitarian crisis that is threatening the lives of 200,000 or more is being ignored by the United States, according to activists who are working to save the thousands of Christians facing potential extermination at the hands of ISIS terrorists.
‘The U.S. has done virtually nothing to allow Christians to flee into the U.S., but they allow many Muslims to come to the U.S.,’ said former terrorist Walid Shoebat. ‘If the U.S. wants to survive and prevent what we see in the United Kingdom, we need to bring [Christian] brethren to the homeland, the land of the brave and the free, the home for persecuted.’
Shoebat, who describes himself as a ‘radicalized Muslim willing to die for the cause of jihad’ and member of the PLO until he converted to Christianity in 1994, was making the comments in light of a newly announced effort by RescueChristians.com to rescue tens of thousands of Christians who fled to Iraq’s Kurdish territory when an ISIS army of jihadists took over vast regions of the troubled nation.
Experts predict the Kurds will not be able to stop the advance of ISIS, which has grown to an army estimated at more than 10,000 soldiers, and the Christians could face extermination.
Shoebat told WND that the Christian community in Iraq, where the language once was the Aramaic spoken by Jesus, has been virtually obliterated…” (Our wonderful Lord and Savior warns us why we will be persecuted if we honor Him in our daily walk and life: “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also” – John 15:18 – 20. See also Galatians 6:12, 14. See the next report.)
Destroying churches part of ‘Islamic doctrine’
August 20, 2014 — WND.com reports: “A campaign by ISIS, also known as Islamic State, to destroy churches across Mosul, one of the ancient seats of Christianity where the faith has been practiced for 2,000 years, complies with the teaching of the Quran, according to several analysts.
The ISIS army of Islamic terrorists has been marching across Iraq, destroying Christians and evidence of their faith for months now. ISIS is blamed for the destruction of about 45 churches in Mosul.
Robert Spencer, author and Islamic terror analyst at Jihad Watch, says the violent campaign ‘does seem to have been a coordinated, planned action.’
And Clare Lopez, Center for Security Policy vice president for research, said an attack on Christianity is the ultimate expression of Islam.
‘ISIS is the purest expression of Islamic doctrine, law and scripture,’ she said.
Lopez noted the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has a doctorate in Islamic studies.
‘The leaders at least are highly educated, very sophisticated, deeply devout Muslims determined to achieve the dual objectives of Caliphate and Shariah,’ Lopez said…”
Satanic ‘black mass’ gets green light from U.S. city
August 27, 2014 — WND.com reports: “The Catholic Archbishop of Oklahoma City has agreed to drop a lawsuit against a satanic cult that plans to perform a ‘black mass’ in the city now that the cult has returned a stolen consecrated host to the church.
An Oklahoma-based satanic group called Dakhma of Angra Mainyu has leased space in the Civic Center Music Hall, which is owned and operated by the city, for a black mass on Sept. 21.
The event is booked for the Cityspace theater, the facility’s smallest theater space, said Jennifer McClintock, public information officer for the Civic Center.
She told WND the city will not block the black mass from being held despite an uproar among Christian and family groups, which are mobilizing to stop it.
‘All activities during the event must abide by our local ordinances and laws, including laws that govern nudity, lewd acts, ritual sacrifice, as well as building codes for open flames,’ McClintock said in an email to WND. ‘The Civic Center Music Hall is not underwriting this event in any way, nor paying for outside advertising. Individuals wishing to attend must purchase a ticket to get in.’…” (The Word of God plainly states that demonic spirits control the world: “And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts” – Revelation 9:20, 21. “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils” – I Timothy 4:1. The Christians battle is described in Ephesians 6:12 & 13: “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness [Spirit wickedness] in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”)
