Forbes Calls for Recognition of Christian Persecution as Global Problem

December 2, 2019 — Breitbart.com reports: “Forbes magazine has appealed for recognition of the phenomenon of Christian persecution around the globe as a crisis demanding focused attention.

Report after report ‘has been raising the issues that relate to the persecution of Christians globally,’ notes Forbes contributor Ewelina U. Ochab, which includes ‘atrocities that amount to genocide and crimes against humanity.’

Faith-based persecution affects Christians more than any other religious group on the planet, Ms. Ochab observes, and therefore anti-Christian persecution deserves to be addressed as a critical issue in its own right.

Ochab cites a recent report by the Bishop of Truro for the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office, which identified ‘a global phenomenon of discriminatory behavior and physical attacks, some sadly deadly, on Christian children, women and men, often from the world’s poorest communities.’

‘Studies consistently show that Christians suffer significantly higher levels of persecution and intolerance,’ she adds, and far from diminishing, the persecution of Christians has increased in 73 countries, according to Open Doors’ World Watch List 2019, and now affects 245 million Christians…” (“If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.  If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.  Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. Islamist Militants Hack to Death 12-Year-Old Christian Boy in Cameroon

December 2, 2019 — Breitbart.com reports: “Jihadists from the Boko Haram terror group hacked to death a 12-year-old boy with machetes for his refusal to become a ‘child soldier’ of the group.

Although news of the slaughter has only just reached the west, the militants are believed to have abducted the Christian schoolboy in a raid on the northern Cameroon district of Tourou on or around November 19.

The boy and his mother reportedly escaped from their home as the militants began their raid on the village, going door to door looting homes of anything of value, including clothes and bedding. The jihadists eventually caught up with the boy, killing him after hearing of his unwillingness to join their army. Members of the jihadist group frequently abduct male children and oblige them to train as soldiers.

Boko Haram has been intensifying assaults on Christian villages in the far north of Cameroon in an effort to extend a west African Islamic caliphate from north-eastern Nigeria all the way to northern Cameroon.

In early November, Boko Haram militants killed retired Christian pastor David Mokoni along with a hearing-impaired Christian boy during an attack on a church in Moskota, in northern Cameroon. A few days earlier, Islamic militants split the skull of a 15-year-old Christian boy with an axe as he slept in Kotserehé village…” (This article follows the fourth law of Islam – the killing of all infidels, meaning all non-Muslim religionists according to them. Gunmen Kill 14 in Burkina Faso Church

December 2, 2019 — Voice of America News reports: “Unknown gunmen opened fire on a church in eastern Burkina Faso Sunday, killing at least 14 people.

Officials say the attack took place in the town of Hantoukoura, near the border with Niger.

Soldiers are hunting for the attackers who fled on motor scooters after gunning down worshipers during a Sunday mass.

No one has claimed responsibility, but Islamic extremists are suspected…” (“Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.” – Revelation 2:10.)

Most Brits don’t believe the Bible is relevant to their own lives

November 6, 2019 — ChristianToday.com reports: “A new study by the Bible Society has found that only a minority of Brits see the Bible as relevant to their own lives.

In the survey of nearly 20,000 adults, only 18% said that the Bible was ‘relevant to them personally’.

This was despite 40% of those surveyed saying that they were Christian.

Over half (52%) of the respondents agreed that it was important to know the Bible because it has shaped British culture, and a majority (61%) said that it was good for children to know Bible stories.

The survey underscored Britain’s increasing secularisation, with just under half (49%) saying that they were not religious, and the same proportion saying that there was ‘definitely, or probably, not a God or gods’.

By comparison, only 38% said that there ‘definitely or probably is’ a God or gods…”  (What a sad state Christianity is in all the world.  “I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;   Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.  For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry” – II Timothy 4:1-5.)
