Kayla Mueller in Captivity: Courage, Selflessness as She Defended Christian Faith to ISIS Executioner ‘Jihadi John’

September 2, 2016 — ABCNews.com reports: “American hostage Kayla Mueller was tortured, verbally abused, forced into slave labor for ISIS commanders in Syria and raped by the group’s top leader, but her fellow hostages say she never surrendered hope, she selflessly put the welfare of fellow captives above her own and she even stood up to executioner ‘Jihadi John’ to defend her Christian faith.

Four former hostages who shared cells with Mueller, speaking publicly for the first time about their shared ordeal for ABC News’ ‘20/20’ broadcast, ‘The Girl Left Behind,’ airing Friday, say the Prescott, Arizona, humanitarian aid worker was a courageous 25-year-old who inspired them.

Their ISIS guards were overseen by the British tough Mohammed Emwazi, who would later be dubbed Jihadi John, as he carried out the beheadings and killings of 10 hostages. The Londoner led three other Britons who oversaw the hostage operation.  Asia Bibi’s last appeal against death sentence for blasphemy to be heard in October

August 24, 2016 — ChristianToday.com reports: “Asia Bibi, the Christian on death row for blasphemy in Pakistan, will have her final appeal heard by the Supreme Court in the second week of October.

The hearing will be Bibi’s last chance to overturn the decision which sentenced her to death in 2010 under Pakistan’s controversial blasphemy laws. The date for Bibi’s return to court was confirmed to International Christian Concern (ICC) and is the final legal avenue available to avoid execution.

Advocate Said-ul-Malook, Bibi’s lawyer, told the persecution charity ICC: ‘I will appear before the Supreme Court of Pakistan and argue her case while she will remain in prison.

‘I hope the result will be an acquittal.’

The case stems from a dispute that took place between Bibi and a group of Muslim women in June 2009. An argument allegedly erupted after Bibi, who says the Islamic women considered her unclean because of her Christian faith, drank from the same water bowl as them…

She was sentenced to death in 2010 by a local court in Punjab before her High Court appeal was delayed and rescheduled seven times. It was finally held on October 16, 2014 at the Lahore High Court but Justice Anwar-ul-Haq, one of the two judges hearing the appeal, confirmed her death sentence…

If Bibi’s appeal is overruled, her only chance of avoiding execution would be through a presidential pardon…”

Muslims slaughter 13 Christians, run hundreds off their land

August 11, 2016 — WND.com reports: “Muslim Fulani herdsmen attacked a cluster of Christian villages in Kaduna state in northern Nigeria last week, killing at least 13 Christians and scattering members of three churches, area sources said.

A survivor of the attacks told Morning Star News that the herdsmen killed two Christian women in Ninte village on Aug. 1, and that she knew of eight Christians killed in Gada Biyu on Aug. 2. Local newspapers reported nine people were killed in Gada Biyu, with another two men killed in Akwa’a on Aug. 3.

News of the massacre comes on the same day a new report was released by Media Research Center showing the U.S. media have covered up the genocide of Christians in the Middle East.

One of hundreds of Christians displaced from the area, Martha Yohanna of Alheri Baptist Church in Gada Biyu village, told Morning Star News that the attacks on Ninte and Gada Biyu villages were carried out by Muslim Fulani herdsmen. Muslim persecution of Christians called ‘systematic’

August 31, 2016 — WND.com reports: “While the Obama administration has been pursuing Islamist refugees from Syria to bring thousands to the safe haven of the United States, Christians have been under fire – often literally – and losing their property and lives in Iraq and Uganda.

And Syria, Bangladesh and Congo.

Also, Philippines, Egypt, Tanzania, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Eritrea, Turkey, Iran and Nigeria.

Even Germany.

A new report from Gatestone Institute finds that although the Muslims doing the persecution are minority, there’s no doubt, ‘persecution of Christians by Muslims is growing.’

And it’s not random, either, the report by Raymond Ibrahim, author of ‘Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians,’ found.

‘Such Muslim persecution is not random but rather systematic, and takes place in all languages, ethnicities, and locations.’…”  (America’s Muslim President constantly proclaims Islam as a religion of peace and that ISIS is the only group of bloody murderers.  He is either willingly ignorant of the truth or deceived.  Saint Peter warned of such deceivers who would promote damnable heresies even denying the Lord Jesus – II Peter 2:1.  You did this, Mr. Obama, when you stated: “Yes, I am a Christian, and believe there are many ways to heaven.  God’s Holy Word promotes Jesus as the only way [John 14:6; Acts 4:12].  Study your Bible before you misquote God’s Holy Word again Mr. President.  Yes, damnable heresies – II Peter 2:1.)

China Province Terminates Social Security for Practicing Christians

August 11, 2016 — Breitbart.com reports: “Local communist authorities in China’s Guizhou province have announced the termination of welfare and social security benefits for Christians who are caught attending church services.

One local source said that officials had announced that practicing Christians would no longer be eligible for social security benefits or old-age insurance. County officials then ‘called on the government in the towns and villages to order believers to sign [a guarantee], stating that if they gathered again, their welfare would be cut off,’ the source said.

According to the U.S.-based rights group China Aid, the announcement was made on July 2, but has only now been publicized.

The Chinese government has ratcheted up its persecution of ‘unofficial’ religion not under government control, especially against Christianity which is experiencing dramatic growth in the country.
