Islamic State Answers Pope Francis: Ours Is a Religious War and We Hate You

August 2, 2016 — Breitbart.com reports: “The Islamic State terror group has come out publicly to reject Pope Francis’ claims that the war being waged by Islamic terrorists is not religious in nature, assuring the pontiff that their sole motivation is religious and sanctioned by Allah in the Qur’an.

In the most recent issue of Dabiq, the propaganda magazine of the Islamic State, ISIS criticizes Pope Francis for his naïveté in clinging to the conviction that Muslims want peace and that acts of Islamic terror are economically motivated.

‘This is a divinely-warranted war between the Muslim nation and the nations of disbelief,’ the authors state in an article titled ‘By the Sword.’…” (Pope Francis in seeking peace and support from Muslim nations was told by these Muslim murderers – if you tell the world that we Muslim killers are a religion of peace, we will work together with you as a Christian Pope.  He did what they demanded in his famous speech Evangelli Gaudium.

August 2, 2016 — Voice of America News reports: “The Islamic State (IS) is inciting supporters to mount more attacks on Christians just days after two of the terror group’s sympathizers slit the throat of an 85-year-old French priest as he was celebrating Mass — a killing French officials fear was a deliberate tactic to provoke a Christian backlash in France against Muslims.

The latest issue of IS’s online magazine Dabiq, widely read by supporters and sympathizers, focuses on the theme of ‘Break the Cross.’ In a series of interviews, foreign fighters who have converted from Christianity are used as mouthpieces to urge supporters in the West to destroy ‘arrogant Christian disbelievers.’ They exhort Muslims to ‘pray for Allah’s curse to be upon the liars.’…”

Paris Cardinal: Islamists Worship a ‘God of Death’

July 31, 2016 — Breitbart.com reports: “Mincing no words, French Cardinal André Vingt-Trois told the Christian faithful this week that jihadists ‘wrap themselves in the trappings of religion’ while announcing a ‘God of death,’ whom the prelate compared to the ancient pagan god ‘Moloch’—who demanded live human sacrifices as a tribute.

The Cardinal, who serves as archbishop of Paris, pronounced these words during the homily at a memorial Mass Wednesday celebrated for the martyred priest Father Jacques Hamel, whose throat two Islamic radicals slit during morning Mass this past Tuesday.

The comparison between the ‘Allah’ of the Islamists and the heinous ‘Moloch’ of ancient pagan peoples is especially severe, given that Christians have generally understood Muslims to be an Abrahamic religion, and a ‘people of the book.’ Moloch, on the contrary, was a vicious god who demanded infant sacrifices, often identified with the Carthaginian god Baal.

‘Those who wrap themselves in the trappings of religion to mask their deadly project,’ Vingt-Trois said, ‘those who want to announce to us a God of death, a Moloch that would rejoice at the death of a man and promise paradise to those who kill while invoking him, these cannot expect humanity to yield to their delusion.’…”

French church attack: Priest’s throat slit in hostage-taking near Rouen

July 26, 2016 — ChristianToday.com reports: “A French priest has been killed in a hostage attack in a church, a police source told Reuters on Tuesday.

The priest, named as Father Jacques Hamel, had his throat slit while celebrating mass in a church in the small town of Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray, near Rouen. One other was seriously wounded and is ‘fighting for their life’, said the French interior ministry.

The two assailants burst into the small church during morning mass and took five people hostage in the church in northern France. The hostages included two nuns and two worshippers as well as the priest, who was in his 80s, according to BFM TV.

The two hostage takers have been shot dead by police. French police confirmed they had ‘neutralised’ the two men, who were armed with blades.

The identity and the motives of the attackers was unknown. There is no confirmation this was an Islamist attack despite speculation…”

 French church attack: Faith leaders call for more security

July 27, 2016 — BBC News reports: “French religious leaders have called for more security at places of worship following the murder of an elderly priest in Normandy on Tuesday.

Representatives of Christian, Muslim, Jewish and Buddhist faiths spoke after meeting President Hollande.

Father Jacques Hamel was killed while conducting morning mass in his church.

One of the two men who attacked him was wearing an electronic surveillance tag, which was temporarily turned off under his probation conditions.

The killing came 12 days after the attack in Nice in which 84 people died.

Muslim leader Dalil Boubakeur, rector of Paris’s Grand Mosque, said the leaders ‘deeply desire that our places of worship are the subject of greater [security] focus, a sustained focus’, as even ‘the most humble place of worship’ can be subject to an attack.

British Clergy Advised To Increase Security As London Warned: You’re Next

July 27, 2016 — Breitbart.com reports: “Church officials have been advised to tighten their security measures following the beheading of a Catholic priest by Islamist militants in France yesterday. The advice comes amid warnings that an attack on British soil is ‘highly likely’.

Although there is no specific intelligence relating to possible attacks on the Christian community, the heinous murder of Father Jacques Hamel, targeted as he celebrated Mass in a provincial church just south of Rouen, has highlighted the potential danger to Christian clergy from Islamic terrorism.

Consequently, the National Police Chiefs’ Council is urging the Christian community to be alert to potential threats but not alarmed, to report any concerns, and to review their security measures.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Neil Basu said: ‘Following recent events in France, we are reiterating our protective security advice to Christian places of worship and have circulated specific advice today.
