Iranian general says itching to carry out another direct missile attack on Israel

July 2, 2024 — The Times of Israel reports: “A senior Iranian military commander said that the country is waiting for a chance to launch another direct attack on Israel as a follow-up to a barrage of hundreds of missiles and drones it fired in April, Iranian media reported Tuesday.

Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Aerospace Force Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh made the remarks the day before in Tehran when he met with family members of people killed in the Gaza Strip during the ongoing war there between Israel and the terror group Hamas. It was not clear from the report if the families he met were themselves from Gaza.

‘We are hopeful of the arrival of the opportunity for [conducting] Operation True Promise 2,’ Hajizadeh said, according to the Mehr News Agency, referring to the title of the April attack.

Iran’s UN mission threatens ‘obliterating war’ if Israel launches Lebanon offensive

July 1, 2024 — The Times of Israel reports: “Iran’s mission to the United Nations said on Friday that if Israel embarks on a ‘full-scale military aggression’ in Lebanon against Hezbollah, ‘an obliterating war will ensue.’

The warning came after the Israel Defense Force attacked several Hezbollah positions, in response to the Iran-backed terror group’s latest barrage on northern Israel hours earlier, amid escalating tensions on the Lebanese border.

Writing on X on Friday, the Iranian UN mission said that if Israel were to launch a war on Hezbollah, ‘all options, including the full involvement of all resistance fronts, are on the table.’

Foreign Minister Israel Katz responded Saturday on X: ‘If Hezbollah does not cease its fire and withdraw from southern Lebanon, we will act against it with full force until security is restored and residents can return to their homes.’

And, he added, ‘⁠A regime that threatens destruction deserves to be destroyed.’

Nasrallah warns: ‘If Israel attacks Lebanon it won’t have any tanks left’

July 18, 2024 — Israel National News reports: “Hezbollah Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah continues to threaten Israel against going to war against his organization.

‘The resistance (Hezbollah) will assist in battle all nations in the region that were attacked with occupation, massacres, aggression, threats by Israel,’ he stated.

In a special address for the Ashura holiday, Nasrallah said: ‘Since October 8th Lebanon has been in a different campaign and has opened a front of support in the al-Aqsa Flood campaign since it is the campaign of the entire Umma (Muslim nation), in addition with the fronts of support in Yemen and Iraq, and together with us Syria and Iran are assisting as well.’

According to Nasrallah, ‘There are three countries that are still suffering from Israeli occupation, aggression, and terror, they are Palestine, Lebanon, and Syria.’

In this context, the leader noted that ‘Yemen managed to prevent ships that belong to the aggressor from passing through the Red Sea to occupied Palestine and it forced a siege on the Eilat Port which has gone bankrupt as the Zionist entities admitted.’

‘The Israeli occupation forces admitted for the first time that it has a shortage of tanks because of damage of the fronts in Gaza and the north,’ claimed Nasrallah. ‘If your tanks enter Lebanon and south Lebanon you won’t suffer from a shortage of tanks since you won’t have tanks at all.’…”

Hezbollah ups the ante up north by striking communities previously untouched

July 24, 2024 — YnetNews.com reports: “Hezbollah has ramped up its rocket fire in recent days, extending its range and broadening its targets in retaliation to IDF actions.

Residents of eight kibbutzim near the border, which had not been evacuated by the Northern Command, were instructed on Tuesday night for the first time to stay close to protected areas due to ongoing IDF operations in Lebanon.

The Upper Galilee Regional Council issued this directive to already evacuated communities, but it also included eight communities in the Hula Valley: Kfar Szold, Shamir, Amir, Sde Nehemia, Kfar Blum, Neot Mordechai, Lehavot Habashan and Gonen. These areas were ostensibly under a ‘normal routine,’ but residents have recently found themselves in Hezbollah’s ‘legitimate target pool.’

The council’s security department advised residents to ‘avoid gatherings and move planned outdoor activities indoors.’ Children who chose to swim in the pool during their summer break were asked to do so under adult supervision.

Also on Tuesday, Hezbollah launched rockets and drones at additional targets that had not been evacuated in the western Galilee, including Moshav Tzuriel, which sustained direct hits…”
