Iran’s president-elect calls Israel ‘wound’ on Muslim world

Reuters reports: “Two days ahead of his inauguration as Iran’s next president, moderate cleric Hassan Rouhani called Israel a ‘wound’ on the Muslim world that must be removed, and urged Iranians to support the rights of Palestinians, Iranian media reported on Friday [August 2, 2013].

The remarks echoed the strong anti-Israel sentiment of outgoing president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, whose denial of the holocaust and description of Israel as a ‘cancerous tumor’ prompted international condemnation.

‘The Zionist regime is a wound that has sat on the body of the Muslim world for years and needs to be removed,’ Iran’s student news agency quoted Rouhani as saying at the annual Qods Day rally in support of Palestinian rights…” (This headline and story I knew could happen. You see the new president, Hassan Rouhani, was the right hand man of Khomeini who returned from exile in France in the 70’s and immediately threw out the Shaw of Iran and began his message of hate throughout the Muslim world. Iran’s President Warned: Fighting Israel a Top Priority

Israel National News reports: “With the full endorsement of Iran’s chief mullah, Ali Khamenei, newly installed Iranian President Hassan Rohani, presumably agrees with the theological and political positions of the Iranian Islamist leadership.

Nevertheless, senior Iranian leaders have made it abundantly clear that even if he were contemplating any changes to the policies of the Islamic Republic, he does not have the authority to do so. In a recent speech, top Iranian cleric Ahmad Khatami, a close confidante of Iranian Supreme Ruler Ali Khamenei, issued a warning to the future president Hassan Rouhani: If he wished to remain in power, he must confirm and carry out the ‘Supreme Leader’s’ anti-Israel policies.

A report issued by MEMRI, the Middle East Research Institute, quoted Khatami, speaking on behalf of Khamenei, as saying ‘if the Zionist regime wants to attack Iran [even] in the most minimal fashion, we will destroy Tel Aviv and Haifa. We fear no one.

‘As the leader [Khamenei] instructed, we are assisting any Palestinian group that wants to fight the Zionist regime,’ he said, adding that the Iranian leadership was very pleased at how Iran played a role during Operation Pillar of Defense, when Hamas hammered Israel with rockets and missiles. Thanks to Iranian-supplied Fajr-5 missiles, ‘Tel Aviv was turned into a ghost town’ during the war.

Israeli officials said that they did not know what Khatami was talking about, as Tel Aviv had not been evacuated during the war, and that in fact there had been only a small number of missile alarms sounded in the city. In fact no missiles actually hit the city at all…” (As long as Khamenei is in power the goal of this religious leader is as his messiah Mahdi commands him to do and that is to fulfill Psalm 83:4 – “…Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance.” Today four Protestant denominations agree with this ungodly and unholy goal. Their hateful plans will fail because the God of Judaism and Christianity promises that His ‘Chosen People’ the Jews, will have an everlasting name – Isaiah 56:5 – and that our Lord and Savior Jesus will rule over Israel forever – Luke 1:32, and 33.)

Supreme Leader Appoints Ahmadinejad as Expediency Council Member

The Fars News Agency reports: “Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei in a decree on Monday [August 5, 2013] appointed former President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad as a member of the state Expediency Council (EC).

‘In view of the valuable efforts you have made in the great responsibility of the Islamic Republic of Iran’s president in the last eight years and the many experiences you have gained accordingly, I appoint you as a member of the state Expediency Council,’ the Supreme Leader said in his decree.

‘May God help you succeed,’ Ayatollah Khamenei added.

Ahmadinejad served as Iran’s president for two consecutive 4-year terms from August 2005 to August 2013.

The EC has the authority to mediate disputes between the Iranian parliament and the Guardian Council, and serves as an advisory body to the Supreme Leader, making it one of the most powerful governing bodies in the country.

EC members include heads of the three branches of power, the clerical members of the Guardian Council and a variety of other members appointed by the Supreme Leader for three-year terms. Cabinet members and parliament speakers also serve as temporary members when issues under their jurisdictions are under review…” (Khamenei, Iran’s number one cleric wants Ahmadinejad, the second Hitler, to continue his blasphemous offensive against the Jews. Rouhani Calls for Broadening of Ties with China

The Fars News Agency reports: “Iranian President Hassan Rouhani underlined the need for the further expansion of bilateral ties between Iran and China.

‘We believe that expansion of Tehran-Beijing relations will guarantee the two nations’ interests,’ Rouhani said in a meeting with the visiting Chinese Culture Minister, Cai Wu, in Tehran on Monday [August 5, 2013].

The Chinese culture minister, for his part, described the two countries’ relations as exemplary, and said, ‘Iran and China have ancient cultures and civilizations and they can play an important role in the world today.’

Cai arrived in Tehran on Sunday to attend President Rouhani’s swearing-in ceremony…” (The above must happen; the three pronged invasion called Armageddon – Revelation 16:16 occurs as Russia and Persia and other Muslim nations invade Israel – Ezekiel 38:1, 2, 8, and 16. Iran May Try New Path to Nukes

Israel National News reports: “Iran may be preparing to use a heavy water reactor for producing weapons-grade plutonium, according to U.S. and European officials cited in the Wall Street Journal. This is an alternative method for reaching a nuclear bomb, which joins its existing uranium enrichment project.

A heavy-water reactor is an easier target to hit than the underground facilities that house Iran’s uranium-enrichment facilities, the newspaper notes.

In recent months, said the U.S. and European officials, the Iranian regime has made significant advances on the construction of a heavy water reactor in the northwestern city of Arak. The spent fuel from the reactor under construction can serve as the raw material for making two nuclear bombs a year, said U.S. and U.N. officials. India, Pakistan and North Korea have all built plutonium-based bombs.

Iran has notified the International Atomic Energy Agency that it plans to make the reactor operational by the second half of 2014 and could begin testing it later this year.

‘The IAEA has been monitoring Arak since its construction began,’ wrote the Journal. ‘But following Iran’s latest timeline, the site’s importance has vastly shot up for Washington and Brussels, said U.S. and European officials. ‘It really crept up on us,’ said an official based at the IAEA’s Vienna headquarters.’

The paper quoted ‘a senior European official involved in the Iran diplomacy’ as saying, ‘At this stage, our most pressing concern is dealing with the enrichment of uranium. But we are increasingly concerned about activity…at Arak.’…”

Report: Iran may develop nukes that could reach the US by 2015

The Jerusalem Post reports: “US intelligence agencies have assessed that as early as 2015, Iran will be set to test an intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), that has the capability to strike the United States, a released Pentagon report states.

‘Iran has ambitious ballistic missile and space launch development programs and continues to attempt to increase the range, lethality, and accuracy of its ballistic missile force,’ the report says.

‘Iran could develop and test an ICBM capable of reaching the United States by 2015.’

The US Department of Defense assessment was compiled by The National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, together with the Defense Intelligence Agency’s Missile and Space Intelligence Center and the Office of Naval Intelligence.

The report also stated that China and North Korea were rapidly proliferating the developments of nuclear warheads capable of hitting the United States, as well as supporting the development of advanced Iranian missile capabilities…”
