Stop tantrums and practice some yoga, Russia tells US

April 4, 2014The Telegraph.co.uk reports: “America’s leaders should stop throwing ‘childish tantrums’ over the annexation of Crimea and instead ‘do yoga’, a Russian official said on Thursday, in a caustic intervention in the confrontation between Moscow and Washington.

Sergei Rybakov, Russia’s deputy foreign minister, said decisions by the US to end military and civilian cooperation, including that between Nasa and the Russian space agency, ran against ‘the free will of the people of Crimea’.

He added that the Americans were being ‘childish’ if they thought that such actions could change the situation.

‘What advice can we give our American colleagues? Spend more time in the fresh air, practice yoga, a balanced diet, maybe watch some sitcoms on TV,’ he said. ‘It’s better than ‘cheating’ yourself and others, knowing that the train has left and childish tantrums and tears are not going to help,’ he said…” (Russia is warming up for Armageddon. Soon a peace program will be contracted for the Middle East nations – Daniel 11: 21, 24. It will be a peace contract for seven years but broken after 42 months – Daniel 9:27. Russia is the nation that then says: “…I will go up to the land of unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates, To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand upon the desolate places that are now inhabited, and upon the people that are gathered out of the nations…” – Ezekiel 38:11, 12. Putin to put Russian bases in Latin America

March 23, 2014WND.com reports: “As the world remains riveted on Moscow’s annexation of the Crimean Peninsula, Russian President Vladimir Putin is shifting gears to Latin America.

As first outlined by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu last February, Putin now plans to keep the United States off-balance as Moscow sets up actual military bases and massive arms sales in the Latin American region.

Moscow’s plan follows a recent announcement by Iran to have its warships patrol in waters off the U.S. coast.

Russia and Iran have stated their increased presence is also in response to U.S. military deployments near their countries, including the eastward expansion of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization up to Russia’s borders.

The establishment of permanent Russian bases and a major Russian presence in the Western Hemisphere will challenge U.S. policies and threatens to diminish Washington’s influence in the region. At the same time, it will give Moscow a basis to stage offensive weapons in the Western Hemisphere, placing another formidable challenge to U.S. homeland defenses from potential missile threats…”

Russia’s new S-500 system to destroy any target at any altitude

April 1, 2014SpaceDaily.com reports: “Russia’s new fifth-generation air defence system S-500 will be able to destroy any target at any altitude, Deputy Defence Minister Yuri Borisov said on Wednesday, March 26.

‘Work is underway to create a new fifth-generation air defence system S-500 which can destroy aerodynamic and ballistic targets of all types at all altitudes used in combat,’ he said.
Borisov said S-400 systems would continue to be supplied to the Aerospace Defence Troops this year. The system ‘is about 2-2.5 times better than existing systems in terms of cost efficiency’, he added.

S-400 Triumf air defence systems were put on combat duty in Russia’s Southern Military District at the end of last year to replace S-300PM missiles.

Supplies of new air defence systems to the 4th Air Force and Air Defence Command in the District started in 2009. Since then, more than 60 pieces of new military hardware have been delivered and put into operation.

The Triumf system is more than two times more effective that previous systems. Each system can attack 10 targets with up to 20 missiles…”
