Putin Declares America Is Russia’s Top Threat

August 2, 2022 — Breitbart.com reports: “Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Sunday signed a military document that declared the United States is the primary threat to Russian security.

It was the first update to Russia’s naval doctrine since 2015, when changes were made following Russia’s annexation of the Crimean peninsula from Ukraine.

Calls Rise in US Congress to Designate Russia a State Sponsor of Terrorism

July 22, 2022 — Voice of America News reports: “As the war in Ukraine approaches the end of its fifth month and Russian attacks on civilian sites are reported on a near-daily basis, pressure is mounting on the Biden administration to officially designate Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism.

This week, according to reporting by Politico, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told Secretary of State Antony Blinken that if he does not exercise the power delegated to him by Congress to make the designation, lawmakers themselves will do so.

Russia is already under crippling sanctions, imposed by the U.S. and a host of other countries, but official designation as a state sponsor of terrorism would up the ante in some significant ways. Where the international components of current sanctions have been carefully coordinated, the state sponsor of terrorism designation could trigger a stricter regime of penalties that could apply to third-country parties doing business with Russian individuals and companies.

In addition, the designation would waive Russia’s sovereign immunity in the U.S., opening the door for Americans harmed by the war in Ukraine to file civil lawsuits against the Russian government in U.S. courts…”

Russia building new laser weapon to disable foreign satellites

July 14, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Russia is developing a new laser system in the Greater Caucasus mountain range that will disable foreign satellites passing over Russian territory, an open-source investigation published last week by The Space Review found.

Construction of the Kalina project, which started in 2011, is underway in the Krona space surveillance complex located at the Chapal mountain peak, the report found by analyzing recent satellite imagery from Google Earth and documents from Russian industrial contractors.

Kalina’s goal, as written in a bank guarantee document from January 2014, is ‘creating a system for the functional suppression of electro-optical systems of satellites’ using lasers.

The ‘space security complex,’ as it is described in a 2017 document, is a ‘special quantum-optical system’ to be used for ‘electro-optical warfare,’ according to Precision Instrument Systems (NPK SPP), a Russian scientific and industrial corporation, who was given the contract for the project by the Russian Defense Ministry…”  (Russia is warming up for Armageddon.
