Russia ex-president invokes nuclear war if Moscow punished by ICC

July 7, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Former Russian president Dmitry Medvedev invoked Wednesday the possibility of nuclear war if the International Criminal Court (ICC) moves to punish Moscow for alleged crimes in Ukraine.

‘The idea to punish a country that has the largest nuclear arsenal is absurd in and of itself,’ Medvedev, a close ally of President Vladimir Putin, said on messaging app Telegram.

‘And potentially creates a threat to the existence of mankind.’

Medvedev, who was Putin’s stand-in president between 2008 and 2012, is now deputy head of the Security Council.

UN chief warns of ‘nuclear annihilation’

August 3, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “UN head Antonio Guterres warned Monday that a misunderstanding could spark nuclear destruction as the United States, Britain and France urged Russia to stop ‘its dangerous nuclear rhetoric and behaviour.’

At the opening of a key nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) conference in New York, Guterres warned that the world faced ‘a nuclear danger not seen since the height of the Cold War.’

Citing Russia’s war with Ukraine and tensions on the Korean peninsula and in the Middle East, Guterres said he feared that crises ‘with nuclear undertones’ could escalate.

‘Today, humanity is just one misunderstanding, one miscalculation away from nuclear annihilation,’ Guterres told the tenth review conference of the NPT, an international treaty that came into force in 1970 to prevent the spread of nuclear weapons…”

UK National Security Adviser Warns of Sudden Nuclear War with Communist China

July 29, 2022 — Breitbart.com reports: “Britain’s official National Security Advisor, Sir Stephen Lovegrove, has warned that the risk of nuclear escalation is greater today than it was during the Cold War, particularly with respect to China.

Speaking to the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington D.C., the former top bureaucrat at the Ministry of Defence argued that the West ‘face[s] a much broader range of strategic risks and pathways to escalation’ than during the Cold War, not least because, during that long-simmering conflict, the Soviet Union and its satellites reached something of a ‘shared understanding of doctrine’ which made the threat of nuclear conflict more manageable — some notable flirtations with destruction notwithstanding.

He highlighted both ‘Russia’s repeated violations of its treaty commitments’ and, perhaps more significantly, ‘the pace and scale with which China is expanding its nuclear and conventional arsenals and the disdain it has shown for engaging with any arms control agreements’ as particularly dangerous, saying that nuclear doctrine today ‘is opaque in Moscow and Beijing, let alone Pyongyang or Tehran’ — referring to the capitals of North Korea and the Islamic Republic of Iran…”

Ukraine war must end to prevent nuclear ‘abyss’: Lukashenko to AFP

July 22, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said Thursday that Russia, Ukraine and the West must all agree to halt the conflict in Ukraine to avoid the ‘abyss of nuclear war.’

‘We must stop, reach an agreement, end this mess, operation and war in Ukraine,’ Lukashenko, Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top ally, told AFP in an exclusive interview in Minsk.

‘Let’s stop and then we will figure out how to go on living… There’s no need to go further. Further lies the abyss of nuclear war. There’s no need to go there.’

Lukashenko accused the West of seeking a conflict with Russia and of provoking the Ukraine war.

‘You have fomented the war and are continuing it,’ he said.

‘We have seen the reasons for this war,’ he added.

‘If Russia had not got ahead of you, members of NATO, you would have organized and struck a blow against it,’ he said, echoing Putin…”

Biden calls on Russia, China to enter nuclear arms control talks

August 2, 2022 — SpaceWar.com reports: “President Joe Biden called Monday on Russia and China to enter nuclear arms control talks, saying that Moscow in particular has a duty to show responsibility after its invasion of Ukraine.

In a statement, the US leader reiterated that his administration is ready to ‘expeditiously negotiate’ a replacement to New START, the treaty capping intercontinental nuclear forces in the United States and Russia, which is set to expire in 2026.

‘Russia should demonstrate that it is ready to resume work on nuclear arms control,’ Biden said.

‘But negotiation requires a willing partner operating in good faith. And Russia’s brutal and unprovoked aggression in Ukraine has shattered peace in Europe and constitutes an attack on fundamental tenets of international order.’

Turning to China, which has been bolstering its much smaller nuclear arsenal, Biden said the communist state has a duty as a permanent member of the UN Security Council ‘to engage in talks that will reduce the risk of miscalculation and address destabilizing military dynamics.’

‘There is no benefit to any of our nations, or for the world, to resist substantive engagement on arms control and nuclear non-proliferation,’ Biden said…”

Iran says it will ‘build nuclear warheads’ and turn NY into ‘hellish ruins’

August 1, 2022 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “Iran expert Ben Sabti tweeted that an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) ‘Telegram channel threatens to produce atomic warhead for missiles,’ citing the channel’s message: ‘Iran can immediately return to Emad project and build an atomic bomb if Natanz facilities are attacked.’

The Emad, cited in the message, is an Iranian long-range missile.

The IRGC-linked Bisimchi Media (Radioman Media) Telegram channel published a video titled ‘When Will Iran’s Sleeping Nuclear Warheads Awaken,’ according to the London-based Iran International news outlet. 

The short video declares that Iran’s regime will develop nuclear weapons in a rapid-fire period of time ‘if the US or the Zionist regime make any stupid mistakes.’

Per Iran International, the video states that Iran’s ballistic missiles have the capability of ‘turning New York into hellish ruins,’ in an ostensible reference to Iran’s space program…”  (Iran will be blotted out when Russia, China, and Islamic nations fight Israel and her allies during Armageddon – Revelation 16:16.  The battle is described in Ezekiel 39:1 – 5: …thou son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:  And I will turn thee back, and leave but the sixth part of thee, and will cause thee to come up from the north parts, and will bring thee upon the mountains of Israel: And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand. Thou shalt fall upon the mountains of Israel, thou, and all thy bands, and the people that is with thee: I will give thee unto the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the beasts of the field to be devoured… Soon the war of wars will arrive from the North and East [Russia and China] – Daniel 11:44.  The battle is described in Ezekiel 38:1 – 5: …the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,   Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, And say, Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief [Russian] prince of Meshech and Tubal: [Moscow and Tubal, or Tubalsk – Southwest of the Russian capital]:  And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws, and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts of armour, even a great company with bucklers and shields, all of them handling swords:  Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with shield and helmet🙂
