RUSSIA AND THE KINGS OF THE EAST
Russia, China Want U.N. Security Council Meeting to Contain America
March 24, 2021 — Breitbart.com reports: “Russia and China issued a joint statement Tuesday calling for a summit of the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council. The statement implied – and the foreign ministers of the two authoritarian regimes clearly stated afterward – the meeting would be a forum for Russia and China to air their grievances against U.S foreign policy.
‘At a time of increasing global political turbulence, a summit of the permanent members of the U.N. Security Council is particularly necessary to establish direct dialogue about ways to resolve humankind’s common problems in the interests of maintaining global stability,’ the joint statement from the Russian and Chinese foreign ministries asserted.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said in a press conference Tuesday that Moscow and Beijing want the U.N. Security Council to rein in the United States, as quoted by Reuters…” (Vladimir Putin has been in power as either the Prime Minister or President of Russia since 1999. Constitutionally, he will be required to step down from power in 2024, however, he appears to be doing what he did in 2008 and groom a successor like Dmitri Medvedev, whom he controlled, and seek to become president again in 2030. In essence, setting himself up as ruler for life in Russia, much as Xi Jinping is set to be ruler for life in China. Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39 predict the union of Russia and China [Revelation 16:12; Daniel 11:44] as leaders in the battle for the greatest war in history called Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Revelation 9:14 – 18 pictures its upcoming disastrous results. See the next report.)
China, Russia to jointly build lunar post
March 10, 2021 — MoonDaily.com reports: “China and Russia have agreed to join hands in building and running a robotic scientific outpost on the moon or in lunar orbit, according to the China National Space Administration.
The administration said in a statement on Tuesday evening that its head, Zhang Kejian, and his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Rogozin, director-general of State Space Corporation Roscosmos, signed a memorandum of understanding on joint efforts to build an ‘international lunar research station’ during a teleconference earlier that day after receiving approval from both governments.
The CNSA and Roscosmos will negotiate on matters about the station’s planning, design, construction and operations, and will work together to build and run it. Both nations want to open the station to international cooperation so it can serve as a platform to boost scientific exchanges and foster peaceful exploration and development of outer space, according to the statement…”
RAF reportedly braced for ‘Space War’ over claims Russia tested ‘anti-satellite weapons’
March 23, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The head of the UK Space Directorate, Air Vice-Marshal Harvey Smyth, expressed concern in December 2020 over Russia having allegedly conducted a new space test of anti-satellite weapons, without providing any evidence, claiming the ‘consequences of miscalculations and accidents have the potential to be catastrophic’.
Britain’s Royal Air Force is facing an immediate need to ‘catch up with its adversaries’, and prepare itself for a potential ‘space war’, RAF senior officer Sir Mike Wigstone is cited as saying by the Daily Mail.
Falling behind in new defence technologies could result in the UK’s ‘complete reliance’ on space being exploited by ‘hostile states’, warns Wigstone, underscoring that military communications are satellite dependent, with troops, military vehicles, and aircraft relying on GPS…” (Luke 21:25 – 28; 31, and 32: And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken. And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh…So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.)
Iran, China sign huge 25-year strategic deal; could reduce US regional influence
March 29, 2021 — The Times of Israel reports: “Iran and China on Saturday signed a 25-year strategic cooperation agreement addressing economic issues amid crippling US sanctions on Tehran, according to Iranian state media.
The agreement, dubbed the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, covers a variety of economic activity from oil and mining to promoting industrial activity in Iran, as well as transportation and agricultural collaborations, according to the report.
No additional details of the agreement were revealed as Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif and Chinese counterpart Wang Yi took part in a ceremony marking the event.
The New York Times reported that China will invest some $400 billion in Iran in exchange for oil as part of the deal. The two countries will also step up military cooperation with joint training, research and intelligence sharing, the report said…” (A March 19, 2021 article in The New York Times – Tense Talks With China Left U.S. ‘Cleareyed’ About Beijing’s Intentions, Officials Say https://www.nytimes.com/2021/03/19/world/asia/china-us-alaska.html states: “Just as Washington’s views on China have shifted after years of encouraging the country’s economic integration, so have Beijing’s perceptions of the United States and the privileged place in the world that it has long held. The Americans, in their view, no longer have an overwhelming reservoir of global influence, nor the power to wield it against China.
That has made China more confident in pursuing its aims openly and unabashedly — from human rights issues in Hong Kong and Xinjiang to territorial disputes with India and Japan and others in the South China Sea to, most contentiously of all, the fate of Taiwan, the self-governing democracy that China claims as its own.
While China still faces enormous challenges at home and around the world, its leaders now act as if history is on their side.”
China will become a basic partner with Russia for the rapidly approaching battle of Armageddon – Revelation 16:16. Russia will lead invasion number one – Ezekiel 38 & 39. China will lead invasion number two – Revelation 16:12; Revelation 9:14 – 16. Then all nations will come against Jerusalem for the final invasion at which point Jesus will return to stop the bloodshed and set up his eternal kingdom upon earth – [He gathers] all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken… Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south – Zechariah 14:2 – 4. Then Psalm 2:6 occurs as God the Father says: …I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion [Jerusalem]. See the next five reports.)
US Seen Falling Short Countering China’s Rising Geopolitical Clout
March 24, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “Despite initiatives by the previous and current administrations, there are fresh concerns the United States is falling short to counter China’s rising geopolitical influence.
Beijing’s evolving Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), for the past eight years, has financed projects globally, including roads, railways, power plants and telecommunications infrastructure.
‘U.S. inaction, as much as Chinese assertiveness, is responsible for the economic and strategic predicament in which the United States finds itself. U.S. withdrawal helped create the vacuum that China filled with BRI,’ according to a report of an independent task force released Tuesday by the Council on Foreign Relations.
‘Although the United States long ago identified an interest in promoting infrastructure, trade and connectivity throughout Asia and repeatedly invoked the imagery of the Silk Road, it has not met the inherent needs of the region. Its own lending to and investment in many BRI countries was limited and is now declining,’ according to the council’s assessment…”
US Adding Air Power to Naval Operations in Disputed South China Sea
March 26, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “Regional experts say U.S. officials are using a range of aircraft to make speedy yet thorough checks on China’s expansion in a disputed Asian sea.
The flights, added to the more obvious passages of navy ships through the South China Sea, will further inflame China, analysts say, adding that planes see more than ships and complete their missions faster.
Aircraft can handily survey the sea and due to their altitude see ‘a lot of things a vessel cannot’ from a ‘bird’s eye’ view, said Alexander Vuving, a professor at the Daniel K. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Hawaii. Planes come and go faster than ships, he added. U.S. warship passages into the South China Sea doubled in 2019…”
China Quickly Closing Gap with US Military, Lawmakers Told
March 24, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “The admiral tapped to command U.S. forces in the Indo-Pacific told lawmakers Tuesday the future of the world could come down to how the United States and its allies respond to an increasingly militarized and aggressive China.
‘Global peace and prosperity depend on our presence in the Indo-Pacific,’ Navy Adm. John Aquilino told members of the Senate Armed Services Committee.
‘The United States Navy is the most powerful, greatest navy on the planet, still,’ said Aquilino, who currently commands the Navy’s Pacific Fleet.
But he cautioned the U.S. advantage is slipping…”
UK Aims to Counter China ‘Threat’ in Major Defense Review
March 19, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “British Prime Minister Boris Johnson pledged to counter what he called the ‘systemic challenge’ posed by China as he set out the government’s 10-year defense strategy Tuesday.
Some ruling Conservative Party lawmakers, however, have accused Johnson of ‘going soft’ on Beijing.
Britain is seeking to carve out a new role on the world stage outside the European Union. The government’s ‘Integrated Review of Security, Defence, Development and Foreign Policy’ says Russia remains the most acute threat facing the country but warns that China poses a ‘systemic challenge to our security, prosperity and values.’…”
China bristles at West over sanctions for Uyghur crackdown
March 23, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “China bristled Tuesday after western nations lined up to impose sanctions over its crackdown on Uyghur Muslims in Xinjiang, the first concerted international action against Beijing since Joe Biden took office.
Rights groups believe at least one million Uyghurs and other mostly Muslim minorities have been incarcerated in camps in the northwestern region, where China is also accused of forcibly sterilising women and imposing forced labour.
China has strongly denied the allegations and says training programmes, work schemes and better education have helped stamp out extremism in the region.
On Monday, the EU, Britain and Canada blacklisted four former and current officials in the Xinjiang region, while Washington, which had already sanctioned two of those officials in July 2020, added the other pair to the list…”
Satellite images show North Korea hiding nuclear weapon site
March 2, 2021 — Israel National News reports: “North Korea has recently taken steps to conceal a site likely being used to store nuclear weapons, CNN reported Tuesday.
CNN announced that it has obtained satellite images captured on February 11th which show recent work done at the Yongdoktong site, where Western intelligence agencies believe Pyongyang is storing nuclear weapons.
Experts who analyzed the images say the work done to the site appears to be aimed at obscuring from view a pair of underground tunnel entrances which lead to the nuclear weapons facility…” (Even if North Korea gives up its nuclear weapons, there are enough remaining in the world to create havoc. Nuclear war is part of the battle of the ages – see Revelation 9:18. Other prophesied texts are predicted in Psalm 97:3; Isaiah 66:15; Ezekiel 20:47: …Thus saith the Lord God; Behold, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall devour every green tree in thee, and every dry tree: the flaming flame shall not be quenched… Study also Zephaniah 1:8; Malachi 4:1; and Revelation 8:7. North Korea claims ‘new tactical guided’ missiles launched
March 26, 2021 — BBC.com reports: “North Korea has claimed the missiles it launched Thursday were a ‘new-type tactical guided projectile’, in its first statement since the test.
It was the country’s first ballistic launch in almost a year and the first since Joe Biden became US President.
Mr. Biden has said the US will ‘respond accordingly’. The US, Japan and South Korea have condemned the tests.
Under UN Security Council resolutions, North Korea is banned from testing ballistic missiles.
The country’s Friday statement, issued through state media outlet KCNA, says the two weapons struck a test target 600km (373 miles) off North Korea’s east coast, disputing Japanese assessments that they flew just over 400km…”
