Canadian PM: Sharia law is compatible with democracy

February 6, 2018 — Israel National News reports: “Canada continues to support and implement Sharia Law.

The American Center for Democracy (ACD) quotes Imam Aasim Rashid of Vancouver, British Columbia, who spoke in October 2017 at Thompson Rivers University, explaining why the Canadian government wants to implement Sharia Law.

‘I’ll tell you who wants to bring Sharia Law,’ Thompson said then. ‘The Canadian government wants to bring Sharia Law and this is not a joke. Why? Because Sharia Law is simply the way Muslims are doing things.’

‘The Canadian government wanted the Muslims to be able to regulate their own issues….to solve their problems amongst themselves [according] to Sharia Law, so it is not a burden on the court system which is already so bogged down.

‘The government told us – we would like you to have this system, and we would like to work on these initiatives with you.’

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told CBC in January 2016 that ‘Islam is not incompatible with Western secular democracy.’

ACD, however, has challenged this assumption with various facts on Islam and Islamists:

For example, the Quran states that ‘Men are caretakers of women… As for women of whom you fear rebellion, convince them, and leave them apart in beds, and beat them (lightly without causing injury)…’ (Quran 4:34)

In his book, Human Rights in Islam and Common Misconceptions, Abdul-Rahman al-Sheha writes that ‘the non-Muslim residents of an Islamic state are required to pay a minimal tax called ‘Jizyah.’

He also notes that ‘Allah set the penalty of cutting the hand as a penalty for theft,’ and says that ‘if the robber kills and seizes the money, the punishment may be killing and crucifixion. If he takes money and threatens but does not kill or assault, the punishment may be amputation of his hand and leg. If he kills the victim but does not take his money, he may be executed as in murder.’…”  (Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is horrifyingly mistaken in his statement.  As I have shared numerous times on our program and in the Van Impe Intelligence Briefing, the American Thinker web page lists the top ten reasons why sharia is bad for all societies coming to the conclusion that Sharia Law ultimately degrades societies and diminishes freedom:

• Islam commands offensive, aggressive and unjust jihad which is a holy war
• Islam orders apostates to be killed
• Islam orders death for Muslims and death for non-Muslim critics of Muhammad and the Quran, and even Sharia itself
• Islam orders unmarried fornicators to be whipped, put to death, and adulterers to be stones
• Islam commands all homosexuals to be executed
• Islam commands that highway robbers should be crucified or mutilated
• Islam commands that a male and female thief must have a hand cut off
• Islam allows an injured plaintiff to exact legal revenge, physical eye for physical eye
• Islam allows husbands to beat their wives
• Islam commands that drinkers and gamblers be beaten.

Indonesian Province Orders Female Flight Crews to Don Hijabs or Face ‘Punishment’

January 31, 2018 — Breitbart.com reports: “The Indonesian province of Aceh has ordered female flight attendants transiting the region to don a hijab prior to landing – or face punishment by religious police.

The command to wear the Islamic-compliant headscarf has been made under sharia law which also demands non-Muslim females wear ‘modest clothing’ instead of western clothing while visiting Aceh.

Australia’s Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) reports that Aceh has been forced to issue the new regulations because of flight crew who use the local airport during layovers. Mawardy Ali, head of Aceh Besar district which includes provincial capital Banda Aceh, said:

• I hope the airlines respect the uniqueness of Aceh where Sharia (Islamic law) is implemented.
• We are disseminating this regulation to the airlines through the end of this week. Later, we’ll talk about punishment if we find there have been violations.
• If a (Muslim) crew member fails to comply, we will reprimand her. If she does it repeatedly, I will order Sharia police to nab her.

Indonesia is the world’s most populous Muslim country, and Aceh province in western Indonesia is the most Islamic region in the country. Aceh is known as the ‘Gateway to Mecca,’ both because it is the westernmost tip of the Indonesian archipelago and thus a good starting point for the Islamic pilgrimage (hajj) and because of its long association with Islam…”

British Government Promotes ‘Liberation’ of Hijab at London Event, Avoids Commenting for A Week

February 7, 2018 – Breitbart.com reports: “The Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom (FCO) has promoted the wearing of the Islamic veil amongst its London staff, using the February 1st occasion of ‘World Hijab Day’ to promote the head covering and even issue ‘free scarves’ to those who chose to try it.

The department of the British government also promoted the idea of ‘liberation’ when wearing the veil that Muslim women across the world have shunned as an antiquated, oppressive, religious tool.

The FCO — Britain’s equivalent of the U.S. Department of State — issued invites to its staff ahead of the event, stating:

• Would you like to try on a Hijab or learn why Muslim women wear the headscarf? Come along to our walk-in event. Free scarfs for all those that choose to wear it for the day or part of the day. Muslim women, along with followers of many other religions, choose to wear the Hijab. Many find liberation, respect and security through wearing it. #StrongInHijab. Join us for #WorldHijabDay…”

(Why do women wear a hijab?  The answer is simple.  If they do not, they face assault, rape, and even death.  Dawn Perlmutter wrote an article entitled: “Hijab Shame: Rape, Murder, and Loss of Face” – https://www.frontpagemag.com/fpm/269304/hijab-shame-rape-murder-and-loss-face-dawn-perlmutter which states: “Sonia Ossorio and other so-called feminists interpret the wearing of hijab from their own cultural perspective as if all women wear it of their own free will. These feminist fashionistas do not realize that no matter how pretty the hijab head scarf, it is essentially a prison uniform…”  She goes on to say: “Uncovered women are viewed as prostitutes and adulterers and the prevailing attitude is that if an uncovered woman is raped she asked for it...  The function of hijab is not simply protecting modesty, it also protects purity and family honor. Hijab needs to be understood in the context of honor shame cultures in which any violation brings dishonor to the family. Uncovered women signify immodesty or unfaithfulness which forfeits a woman’s honor and shames the men in the family. Breaking tradition has serious consequences and family members are obligated to restore honor and cleanse the family of the shame. Consequently, not wearing hijab has resulted in “honor violence.” Both Muslim and Western women have been the victims of beatings, rape, torture, disfigurement and death for not wearing hijab in Western and Middle East Countries. This violence is considered a justifiable method to punish and restore honor to the family who could not control their women…”  She concludes her article with: “Muslim women who choose to wear hijab have internalized their own oppression. Western non-Muslim women who wear hijab have been indoctrinated into social justice myths of Islamophobia. World Hijab Day, founded by a Muslim activist/operative, is part of the stealth jihad strategy to slowly introduce Sharia law into Western culture. The president of the New York Chapter of the National Organization for Women thinks women should wear hijab as part of the resistance against President Trump. Macy’s, an American institution, is marketing garments of slavery and glamorizing the subjugation of women. Shame on everyone.”  Very well said Dawn Perlmutter.)
