Las Vegas shooting: At least 50 dead, more than 200 injured in massacre

October 2, 2017 — Fox News reports: “A gunman turned a Las Vegas concert into a killing field Sunday night, murdering at least 50 people and injuring more than 200 others in the deadliest mass shooting in modern United States history.

The suspect, who was killed, was identified as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, a local resident. Authorities also said they were ‘confident’ Paddock’s roommate, Marilou Danley, had been located. Officials previously described Danley as a person of interest.

Officials did not immediately reveal a motive.

Authorities said one on-duty officer was in critical condition and another was wounded in the shooting. Two off-duty police officers attending the concert were killed.

The gunman, who fired down on the concert from a room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, was killed by police…” (This was one of the first reports following the massacre in Las Vegas.  We now know that there were 58 people killed and another 489 people were injured.  At the time of this writing, police do not know why the gunman opened fire on the crowd of people.  The Bible describes such a man as this: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.  For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:  Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.  Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,  And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.  Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:  Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. MI5 boss Andrew Parker: UK terror threat evolving at scale never seen before

October 18, 2017 – “News.Sky.com reports: “The UK is facing a ‘multidimensional threat’ that is rapidly evolving ‘at a scale and pace we’ve not seen before’, the director general of MI5 has warned.

Andrew Parker said the security service is operating at an unprecedented level and has seen ‘a dramatic upshift in threats this year’.

‘It’s at the highest tempo I’ve seen in my 34-year career,’ he said. ‘Today there is more terrorist activity, coming at us more quickly, and it can be harder to detect.

‘We’re now running well over 500 live operations involving around 3,000 individuals known to be currently involved in extremist activity in some way.

‘As well as those we are looking at today, risk can also come from returnees from Syria and Iraq and also the growing pool of over 20,000 individuals we’ve looked at in the past in our terrorism investigations.

‘It’s in the Quran,’ says Muslim who beheaded Oklahoma co-worker

September 26, 2017 — WND.com reports: “Was Alton Nolen mentally ill when he beheaded a female co-worker and tried to behead a second woman at a food plant in Oklahoma on Sept. 25, 2014, or was he simply being a good Muslim by following the dictates of the Quran?

That’s the issue the jury will have to decide in the 33-year-old Muslim convert’s trial, which opened last week and continued Monday in Norman, Oklahoma.

Nolen told police in 2014 he beheaded his co-worker, Colleen Hufford, and tried to behead another woman at the plant because he felt ‘oppressed’ as a Muslim.

‘You know all I was doing was … what I was supposed to do as a Muslim,’ Nolen said. ‘It’s in the Quran.’…”  (Alton is correct when he states that it is in the Quran — “…seize them and kill them [Unbelievers] wherever you find them…” — Surah 4:89.  “…If you encounter [in war] those who disbelieve, strike their necks… Behead them” — Surah 7:4.  “Give firmness to the Believers [Muslims]:  I will instill terror into the hearts of the unbelievers [all non-Muslims]: you smite them above their necks and smite all their fingertips off them.” — Surah 8:12.  “…strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of God and your enemies and others…” — Surah 8:60.  “When ye encounter the infidels, strike off their heads…” — Surah 47:4.)
