Xi Jinping Vows to Bash the Heads of ‘Foreign Bullies,’ ‘Utterly Defeat’ Taiwan

Under Xi’s rule, Chinese officials have organized hundreds of events nationwide to celebrate the anniversary and published attempts at pop culture homages to the Party, like a 15-minute hip-hop song featuring 100 communist rappers. Officials do not appear to be implementing any social distancing protocol or requiring masks for attendees despite the tight quarters in stadiums and other public venues that people appear to be filling. Japan Talks of Defending Taiwan Against China Aggression

July 27, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “Although Japan has in recent months hinted it would aid in any Taiwanese defense against China, it would only help defend the island from Chinese attack if called on by the U.S. or if the conflict affected outlying islands under Japanese control, analysts say.

China claims sovereignty over Taiwan and has not ruled out the use of force to bring the island under its control.

Tokyo would join a U.S.-led defense of Taiwan because of its historical alliance with Washington, including the 70-year-old Japan-U.S. Security Treaty, experts say, or if China struck in a way that threatened Japan’s islets, such as Yonaguni, that are near Taiwan’s east coast…”

UK warns China as dispatches carrier group to Japan

July 21, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “Britain announced Tuesday its most powerful navy task force in a generation will visit five ports in Japan, warning China against any threats to freedom of navigation in the region’s tense seas.

A strike group of Royal Navy ships spearheaded by the giant new aircraft carrier HMS Queen Elizabeth is en route to the Asia-Pacific region.

After exercises with allied navies, it will pay visits to five Japanese ports in September, officials said during a visit by Defence Secretary Ben Wallace to Tokyo.

In addition, the offshore patrol vessels HMS Spey and HMS Tamar will start a permanent deployment to the region next month, supported by ships from Australia, Japan and Singapore.

China threatens to nuke Japan over Taiwan in video played on CCP-sanctioned channel

July 20, 2021 — FoxNews.com reports: “The Chinese Communist Party aired a video in which it warned Japan of a nuclear response and ‘full-scale war’ if the island nation interferes in China’s handling of Taiwan. 

The video, which appeared on a channel approved by the CCP, singles out Japan as the one exception to China’s policy to not use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear powers. 

‘We will use nuclear bombs first,’ the video said. ‘We will use nuclear bombs continuously. Report that China building new ICBM silos ‘concerning’

July 2, 2021 — SpaceWar.com reports: “The United States expressed concern on Thursday over a report that China is building more than 100 new silos for intercontinental ballistic missiles.

The Washington Post, citing a study of commercial satellite images by a California-based group, reported on Thursday that the silos were being built in a desert near the northwestern city of Yumen.

The James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies in Monterey said the 119 construction sites in Gansu province were similar to existing Chinese launch facilities for nuclear-tipped ballistic missiles.

State Department spokesman Ned Price was asked about the report on Thursday.

‘I think what is fair to say is that these reports and other developments suggest that the PRC’s (People’s Republic of China) nuclear arsenal will grow more quickly, and to a higher level, than perhaps previously anticipated,’ he said.

‘This buildup, it is concerning,’ Price said. ‘It raises questions about the PRC’s intent…”

US Concern Over China Nukes Buildup After New Silos Report

July 28, 2021 — Voice of America News reports: “The Pentagon and Republican congressmen on Tuesday aired fresh concerns about China’s buildup of its nuclear forces after a new report saying Beijing was building 110 more missile silos.

An American Federation of Scientists report on Monday said satellite images showed China was building a new field of silos near Hami in the eastern part of its Xinjiang region.

The report came weeks after another on the construction of about 120 missile silos in Yumen, a desert area about 380 kilometers (240 miles) to the southeast.

‘This is the second time in two months the public has discovered what we have been saying all along about the growing threat the world faces and the veil of secrecy that surrounds it,’ the U.S. Strategic Command said in tweet linked to a New York Times article on the AFS report…”
