Islamic Scholar Lets Slip the Truth: ‘If Preserving Life Had Priority, There Would Be No Jihad’

October 16, 2024 — PJMedia.com reports: “After 9/11, we were inundated with the claims that by this time have become near-universal assumptions: Islam is peace. Jihadis are just a tiny minority of extremists. Jihad means a spiritual struggle and is willfully or ignorantly misinterpreted among jihadis. 

Yet an Islamic scholar has just offered a succinct and telling enunciation of Islamic values that differs sharply from these claims. Is he an ignorant, racist, bigoted ‘Islamophobe’ whose views can be easily dismissed? Hardly. He is an internationally respected Muslim Brotherhood leader whose words should be carefully pondered in Washington, but they won’t be. 

The Kuwaiti Islamic scholar Tareq al-Suwaidan, who has been named among the 500 Most Influential Muslims for the last three years, recently enunciated a vision of Islamic values that differs markedly from what we have been told again and again in the West: ‘Preserving life is not the only objective of the shari’a – these include the preserving of religion, life, lineage, intellect, and property. These are the main objectives of the shari’a.’

That all sounds reasonable enough, but then al-Suwaidan added, ‘Which one of these objectives has higher priority? It is preserving religion, not preserving life. This is why there is a thing called ‘Jihad.’ If preserving life had the priority, there would be no Jihad – we would abolish it. ‘The time for silence is over’: Experts condemn Hamas’s sexual violence and attacks on women

October 17, 2024 — The Jerusalem Post reports: “An event hosted in the European Parliament on Tuesday discussed the ‘dire’ state of women’s rights in the Middle East since Hamas’s October 7 attacks, according to the event’s co-sponsor, The Institute for the Study of Global Antisemitism and Policy (ISGAP).

During the event, experts testified that the same forces seeking to attack the Jewish people were abusing women throughout the Middle East.

‘Today, the forces attacking Jewish people are the same ones oppressing women across the Middle East. If the world continues to turn a blind eye, we embolden these regimes and open the door to more atrocities,’ Dr. Charles Asher Small explained…

Dr. Small, commenting on Hamas’s large-scale attack that kickstarted the current war, said: ‘The October 7 attack was not just an assault on Israel but on the core values we claim to uphold—human rights, equality, and dignity. The brutal murders and abductions of Israeli women by Hamas should have sparked global outrage, yet we faced silence or, worse, justifications disguised as resistance. This is a profound moral failure.’ 

‘When academics and leaders rationalize the murder and rape of Israeli women, they not only betray the victims but legitimize gender-based violence as a weapon of war. This failure is exacerbated by the appeasement of regimes like Qatar, Iran, and the Taliban.’…”  (Nolan Finley, Editorial page editor for The Detroit News tells of watching “Bearing Witness to the October 7^th Massacre” that was shown by the Simon Wiesenthal Center and the Israeli Consulate to the Midwest.  The majority of the film was compiled from the cell phones and body cameras of the Hamas terrorists as they carried out this massacre.  He states: What we saw Sunday night was excruciating to watch, harder still to discuss. When it was over most of us walked to our cars barely speaking.

Imagine watching the most gruesome horror flick, without the benefit of knowing the gore on screen is make-believe. In this movie, the blood is real. The bodies are real. The evil is real…

More sickening for me than the gruesome images is the absolute joy with which the killers went about their sadistic work. I expected to see angry, frothing mad men. Instead, these killers are happy. They looked like gleeful young men celebrating a soccer win…

And this, I’m told, is the PG version. It doesn’t depict the mass rapes and mutilation of babies that was reported, but nothing in video suggests such depravity is beyond the pall for the marauders…

I wondered going into the screening what emotions I’d feel coming out. Revulsion? Heartache? Grief?

All of that. But mostly rage, an absolute red-hot anger that there are people in this world capable of such evil and others who would excuse their wickedness.

Mass sexual assault of women in public has been documented in Islam for years.  On February 11, 2011, former CBS News correspondent Lara Logan was reporting in Egypt about the celebrations following the resignation of Hosni Mubarak when she was attacked by a group of 200 – 300 men, several of whom gang raped her for nearly one half hour.  Her only offense – not having her head covered.  In an article Dr. Van Impe has cited before, Dawn Perlmutter said: “From a Western perspective this was a crazed mob out of control.  For a shame culture this was an acceptable punishment for a woman who was not properly covered.  They pulled her blonde hair out and more than likely kept it as souvenirs.”

Jewish Man Shot in Chicago; Suspect Appeared to Shout ‘Allahu Akbar’

October 29, 2024 — Breitbart.com reports: “A Jewish man reportedly on his way to Synagogue was ambushed and shot from behind in Chicago on Saturday by a man allegedly yelling, ‘Allah Akbar.’ He was later taken down by police.

The first shooting occurred at around 9:30 a.m. Saturday morning in the 2600 block of North Washtenaw Avenue in the city’s West Rogers Park neighborhood, an area that is home to a large Orthodox Jewish community.

Chicago’s WFLD reported that witnesses said the 39-year-old victim was walking to his synagogue when he was attacked.

The thus-far unidentified man was approached from behind and after several shots were fired, he was hit in the shoulder, police said.

However, the situation was far from over after the first shooting.

Once officers of the Chicago Police Department (CPD) arrived, the alleged shooter came back to the scene and began shooting at them, reports say. Police returned fire, striking the man. ‘Allahu Akbar’ — Swiss Tourist Had Her Throat Cut by ‘Long Live Palestine’ Knifeman in Algeria

October 28, 2024 — Breitbart.com reports: “A Swiss tourist had her throat cut in a cafe in Algeria by a man yelling ‘Allahu Akbar’ and ‘Long live Palestine’ earlier this month in an attack which was allegedly covered up by local authorities.

This week, French newspaper Libération reported that on October 11th, a female tourist from Switzerland was killed after an Algerian man approached her table in a popular cafe in the southern city of Djanet and slit her throat with a knife.

‘She was evacuated to Djanet hospital where she lost a lot of blood; the doctors were unable to save her,’ a local source told the Parisian daily.

During the attack, which is said to have occurred while she was sitting with a fellow traveller and her children, the Algerian is alleged to have shouted out the jihadist war cry ‘Allahu Akbar’ (God is great/Our God is the greatest) and ‘Long live Palestine’, Swiss broadcaster later RTS reported…”
